NEST fans: Which is your favorite?

I've been on a search for a new fine fragrance for years. Found an almost from Dior, currently trying Flowerbomb, gave up on Lancome (in spite of them saying Le Tresor and La Vie Belle is complimented by everyone). Joy is an old favorite, though.

But I'm now beyond "find a signature scent" and into a fragrance wardrobe (of two or three).

I appreciate the detailed knowledge of perfumes by NEST; excellent presentations. So many (Philosophy, for one) never mention the top, middle, base notes at all. The care to extract the oils from actual flowers, Master perfumers, all touch my yearning for a truly excellent perfume.

Just ordered the TSV, hoping for a variety to fall in love with!

Read the reviews, of course, on many blogs and sites.

However, I'd love to hear from our Q community about your favorite of the NEST fragrances. Is it true that Midnight Fleur draws so many appreciative comments? [Bought the ODO Midnight Fleur essential oil, excellent price.]

For NEST fans, are you sticking with 1 or enjoying several?

Ordered the small sample bottles some time ago and did not care for any of the scents. Hope you enjoy them...

@hondagirl: Those samples were WAY too small, in my experience. I ordered them too, and gave up. I wonder if the same formula is really used in those tinies?

Even when Nordstrom's give those tiny samples, I can hardly tell (then they evaporate in the bottle so fast!). Hoping the larger "sample" size will be enough to really experience each one.

I love Dahlia & Vines, Verde, and Indigo. I like Citrine and Black Tuliip. The interesting thing about these fragrances is when I put one i think "Oh, that's just so so, nothing special." But I end up getting compliments and questions about what I'm wearing. My son never notices anything but complmented me when I had on Dahlia & Vines. I got a roller ball sampler set at Sephora so will pass on this TSV, but I do like them and it seems a nice way to sample...plus they are good for travel.

Citrine is my favorite. But I also like Midnight Fleur and Indigo. I have almost all of them in various sized bottles. But my allergies are messing up my sense of smell right now for me to double check which other ones I like.

Speaking generally on my favorite scent, right now it's a tie between Flowerbomb and Floral Drops by Dolce and Gabbana. I like the Floral Drops much more than their Dolce scent.

Indigo is my favorite, but I also like Citrine. I think this is a really nice sampling that they are offering today. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a new fragrance.

I have not heard much positive about this line.... they rave about it so on air. Will not purchase.

I agree with you. I wasn't all that crazy about them but I even caught myself catching a whiff later in the day thinking that it really smelled good. I got the rollerball at Sephora too.

Midnight Fleur is my favorite. I heard Amy presenting it when it first aired. I ordered it and my goodness it's exactly how she described it. Yes, I do get many compliments on it. I think you will be very pleased with it.

I have tried all of them at Sephora more than once and just didn't find one that spoke to me, certainly not enough to go full-bottle. And most of them I truly disliked.

Even though this TSV is a good way to sample, I'd suggest that if you live near a Sephora, the cost is zero. If you find one you like, just ask for a sample so that you can wear it at home.

@jaxs mom: Thanks SO much. I do suspect that all of our senses of smell may not be the best when we first put on a perfume, and the compliments of others is useful data. Wonder if a hand/body cream would supplement the scent?

@Mayfayre: Ooooo, I adore sandalwood. Unfortunately, it's not one of the choice. On your advice, I'm going to check out Sephora to see if they have a sample!

I got the Indigo in the body butter and perfume few months back. I like it, it's not my number one go to, but it's good.

I love sandalwood too but the Nest White Sandalwood has an off ( to me) high note that I can't place.

@jaxs mom: I'm going to be a small spray or rollerball sampler, I think. (Do not believe a quick try at a store is enough.) Thanks for the heads up on sandalwood, though. I wonder if "spray" affects a perfume differently than "roller ball?"

I only like Nest Paradise and Black Tulip. The Nest Paradise I tried in store at Sephora at least 10 times before I purchsed the rollerball version there. It smells like oranges but not overly sweet. I bought a second rollerball and then the full size spray months later.

I have the Black Tulip rollerball but would not buy the spray version as I don't like it enough to repurchase it.

I don't care for the other scents at all. Go to a Sephora to smell the scents and try ones you like as they have testers for the scents. That way you can pick and choose for yourself and decide if you want to buy them or not.

I sometimes wonder if we perceive scents the same. I'll hear or read raves about a scent, then when I sample it, detest it. On the other hand some posters that love a scent I do not care for, will also love one of my favorites.

Recently I received a silk dress from Lord & Taylor. It was packaged beautifully but in the package was a sample of Flowerbomb which leaked. Even the postman mentioned the odor when he handed the package to me. To my nose this one ranks right up there with EL Youth Dew.

@RetRN: I'm hoping the Indigo is a favorite of mine, too. Can't always tell from the listed notes, but these entice me:

Indigo: Moroccan tea, kashmir wood, and black cardamom are enhanced with hints of wild fig and bergamot; mood: exotic
