Love it! You can use it conventionally: it comes with that attachment in a neat hard case.

What I love about the Chi round brush is that the bristles are easily retracted: that right there is what separates it. It also has a cold air blast that you use to seal in the curl.

I'm hoping that they come out with different diameter brushes, but it's a great tool for straightening or curling.

Poodlepet2

I've never purchased any Chi product, so am not really familiar with how they perform. I saw this electric round brush and am interested in purchasing it. It's like the Calista Perfecter, only instead of just a 60-day warranty, it has a two-year one. If anyone owns this, I would love to hear what you think of it. Also, would like to know if Chi products, in general, are good ones. Thanks.

Thanks, poodlepet2, for getting back with me, but I think yours must be a different one than what I'm looking at. Mine does not put out any air, nor do I believe it has retractable bristles. The model number is CA2168, and it has a 1 1/2 inch barrel. Kohl's has it, and I decided to take a chance and ordered it last night before my 30% off expired. Guess if I don't like it, I can simply return it.
