topic Where New Threads Appear in Beauty

I jusst posted a new discussion in "Among Friends" and it did not appear on the first page of Community. Why do some posting appear on the first page when it's a new one and others are relegated to the "back of the class." Just wondering.

ETA -- just checked this and it did appear on the first Community page. Maybe because it'sin the beauty section. My other post is still buried somewhere.
