Gee Shanus, it sure sounds as if we like the same things! I started Spring Cleaning in my boudoir today....it is ridiculous what I threw out! Including a concealer palette by Bobbi B. I love the way she "styles" makeup and now that I know your philosophy, I can understand why you be attracted to her products and the "natural enhanced" look she promotes.

I loved her Chocolate Collection! I don't need more browns-that is a given! Her lipstick palette in that collection was so becoming! Now, I find rosier is better for me and makes me look healthier and more vibrant.

I am going on the wagon when it comes to makeup.....I am SO glad DH was not here to see all of the stuff I threw out.

I still have a lot more stuff to get rid of, but today was cathartic.....I had not cleaned out MU drawers in two years! I wasn't using anything that old, but I thought about why I had bought it all.

I was extremely overweight when I bought it all: and I had all kinds of excuses for not doing any kind of sensible diet, exercise etc.....if I couldn't buy pretty clothes, I could at least buy pretty makeup...... I was so insecure-I did wear MU everyday-said it was for my family....but I wasn't fooling them-or myself.

No question, I do look better with MU-especially the brows! But now, it's not so cataclysmic if I have to go out without: thankfully those days are few and far between!

I could go on and on about my personal renaissance, but here I go hi-hacking another of your threads-and that's not my intention. You are such a kindred spirit!

So, what do YOU look for in Bobbi? Skincare? Color? Palettes?

I always liked Bobbi's lipsticks and eye shadows are very good. Do not like her foundations (too yellow based for me). Even though she no longer owns the co. it is still fun to watch something different.

@Katcat1, I agree I did try her foundations and concealer-and even bought her moisturizer because all of the beauty editors waxed poetic on the wonders of her makeup.

I love the natural"enhanced" look, but her MU doesn't work for me....aside from the Chocolate Collection I wrote about earlier......oh well!

I just found it but I don't see anything new. I wish she would

have some price breaks on her products like her eyeshadows. Her prices are the same as in her store.Unless she comes out with a kit that would be nice.

@Poodlepet2. I've used all BB makeup & skincare since she started her brand....20 yrs. I think. The foundation shades & formulas have a wide range of coverage. My appeal was being able to wear one of her lightest shades Porcelain which has no pink or orange. I wear her Tinted Moisturizer Balm SPF daily. I love the neutral palettes of shadows and gravitate towards the nudes, but enjoy her greys. Lip colors I use are Sandwash Pink, Bare Shimmer & Raspberry Shimmer (bright pink)...not a fan of gloss at my age, so just use BB crystal clear gloss in small squeeze tube.

Skincare: again all of it. Moisturizers for day, moisturizing balm at night, Hydrating eye cream & Soothing Cleansing Oil for makeup removal...takes off waterproof eye mu, too all in one step.

Think I'm a fan?

I was looking for gifts for DD and DIL and I was on the Sephora site. BB had an eye shadow palette that literally shocked me! I had no idea that-you will chuckle-she did any colors other than.....Brown! I thought her name was a sales gimmick!!!

I will watch her to see if there are any new MU styles or looks, but I will be strong and not buy!!!!

@Poodlepet2. She does do colors, but I still prefer neutrals...guess doesn't have much to do w/ "Brown". My favorite palettes are the small ones w/ shadows, blush & maybe a mascara or gloss all in one palette. Great for gifts & on the go.

I love neutrals too-that's what I go for as well. The closest I've come to wearing color is Eve Pearl's green in one of her eye pallets. It's sophisticated enough to wear alone, but it mixes beautifully with brown and softens black. Wines and burgundy is great too.

Have you seen how the "kids" are wearing eye shadows in the fashion magazines? It's hilarious: stripes of bright blues and all kinds of colors not even on their lids! I'm sure it's "club" wear, but it's hysterical!

I don't want to hijack your topic, but I do love the MU haute coutour editorials.....not wearable, but you sure have to appreciate the artistry!

Yea! It won't be the same without Bobbi giving a mini makeup class during the show though. I have tons of makeup, but the BB colors (eyes, blush, lips) are just ideal for my coloring. Dusky neutrals are what looks best on me and BB has that down pat. Most of my HG items are BB. Even though I know corals aren't my best colors, I'm dying to see the new Havana collection demoed...hope that makes it on air

Bobbi has some wonderful classics I'll continue buying if I ever finish. I've gone through her Tawny blush twice and picked up a new one on eBay for a fraction of the price. Brand new square in box, of course.

She has some classic eyeshadow shades I love and are multi taskers. e.g. Taupe eyeshadow is excellent for brows, lids, and even contour down the side of the nose when I take the time to do it. I've also finished a full pan and replaced this item.

Her foundation doesn't work for me at all. Nor do her corrector/concealers. I have a collection of lipsticks and some are probably going bad, I don't reach for them enough. I need to do the same and go through to toss the shades I won't wear any longer. I do have a few favorite BB lippies in my rotation that can't be pried out of my hot little hands.

Her skincare is quite good, IMO. I choose to go another route though. Unless something ground breaking hits this line & strikes my fancy, I won't be buying her skincare.

So, doubt I'll watch the shows- but for those who do.. ENJOY! She's a savvy educator if nothing else.

It's too bad Bobbi won't be presenting. All the more reason not to watch.

Some of my hands-down favorite shadows are in this line. While I mostly pick matte, BB is one of the few lines that gets shimmer right for older lids. I also have every Shimmer Brick that fits my skintone, and love those too, However, I admit they're used on rare occasion.

I agree with @Shanus.

Her cleansing oil is superb- a beautiful formula. After I finished my bottle I replaced it with One Love Organics Vit. B Cleansing Oil- strictly based on recommendations by @HappyDaze & &@suzyQ3. Now I'm hopelessly hooked on OLO. I wait for sales, then buy two bottles at a time. It's THAT good. If there comes a time OLO cleanser is d/c'ed, I'll come running back to Bobbi's formula which as already stated is crazy good.

There are several reasons. I like that it's truly organic, yet appeals to the senses with a wonderful natural scent- nothing strong. It has a different texture which I prefer- kind of hard to explain. My face feels so smooth and thoroughly cleansed without any drying. I think the B vitamins might have benefits- but that's a guess. It's a luxury product for me. It takes such little product to get a great cleansing... and is very soothing. Like BB's Cleansing Oil it removes all traces of eye makeup without irritation. Just a beautiful product I think everyone should try at least once. One bottle lasts for months of cleansing. I don't know if this helps. Honestly they're both very good. I just feel better about the ingredients in OLO and like the way one bottle lasts so long and makes cleansing a pleasure. Hope this helps a little.

Yea! they have the black scotch gel eyeliner in a small size with remover. I bought that when it was a LE a few holidays ago and it's great for blue eyes.
