TGIF Beauties! What Did You Use Up this Week 2/24?

Happy Friday Beauties,

Hope you all had a good week and will be having a safe and happy weekend. I was finally able to use up some things this week. This week I used up;

Mary Kay Affection Perfume Splash - .17oz Discontinued. I had a love/hate "relationship" with this perfume. Some days I loved it and couldn't get enough, some days, I was glad to wash it off. The fragrance features amber, peony, chinese osmanthus and pink pepper. I go into this, because it can probably be found on E-Bay if intrested.

Bath and Body Works Winterberry Wonder Shower Gel - 10oz I purcahsed this at the semi-annual sale. I think this has been discontinued as well.

Avon MagiX Face Perfector - 1oz A staple. Replaced with same

Avon Hoilday Lip Balm I was unable to read the "flavor". This has been discontinued, It was on sale for the hoilday season.

Thanks, @joseygirl, for getting us started this week! I love this thread, because it reminds me to go through my beauty items to see what I need to use up or throw away each week. It also reminds me how much beauty items I have and NOT to buy any more items!!

I used up Maybelline Instant Age Rewind consealer. I have another one as back up, along with Maybelline Fit me consealer and Betterskin consealer. I think Maybelline has great concealers, better than many high end ones that I tried.

Hi Ladies!

This week I used up:

-Carmex Lip Balm in Smooth Pomegranate, hard to find the Pomegranate, but it's my fav.

-Maybelline Dream Lumi Hydrating Concealer, replaced with same. I bought this originally because I'd heard it was a great dupe for the very spendy YSL Touche Eclat. Ultimately, I was pleased to discover that I loved this product far better than the Touche Eclat, for 1/4 the price! Great as a light conceal, highlight/contour. The consistency is velvet!

-Neutrogena Hydrating Cleansing Wipes, replace with same, I always have these on hand!

Hello everyone. Hope everyone had a great week. I am enjoying the last day of our beautiful weather. Today they are saying temps of 76 which is a record. Who would think that on a February day in Ohio we'd have to have the AC on at work? Crazy. Anyhow my list is short:

Clinique Lip Liner in Plum Raisin - full size. I don't even know how old this lip liner pencil is. Years. It has taken me a very long time to use it because I only line first thing in the morning. I replaced with another very neutral Clinique lip pencil that is also years old.

Rimmel Wonder Lash Mascara with Argon Oil - full size. I don't like this mascara at all. I hated the brush because it had the little plastic bristles rather than the old fashioned traditional brush. Plus this didn't do much at all for me. I always keep a mascara in my make-up bag in my purse, just in case, and that's what this was relegated to. I'd not repurchase. I'll dig through my stash and put another in my purse.

Good Morning to All the Beauties!

Thank You @joseygirl for keeping me on track too. It feels great to use up beauty items instead of either just throwing away or pushing them back in a drawer.

This week I used up the following:

1. Signature Club A Precious Moroccan Argan Oil Cream Oil Body Lotion in a pump. 16oz size. This is a great body lotion, but if you don't buy it in a kit, it's expensive. $42 and that is to expensive for me. I replaced with a bottle of Eucerin Daily Hydration with Sunflower oil. Fragrance free for Dry Skin. This is a 21oz size. I've never used this, but so far so good.

2. Skinn Cosmetics Hydro-Vital Serum. 2oz size. ( full size) This is a nice serum, but I can't get anymore out of the bottle. I can see there is more product inside, but I would have to shatter the bottle and there is no promise I would be able to use the serum after doing this. I will not re-purchase for this reason. The serum is very good so I hope Dimitri James will re-design his containers as this is the second product I have had issues with. I will replace with some of my sample packets of serums that I received in a Elizabeth Arden Kit.

3. The last item is also from Skinn Cosmetics. Enlightened Radiance Concentrate.

This is for targeting discoloration. I think it has helped alot, but one thing that bugs me is the items in Skinn Cosmetics are to be used together and there is always one item I run out of before the others are gone. To buy them on their own are too expensive.. I think I have some Gold Bond lotion in my stash to use in the meantime for dark spots.

I would like to tell @Jacie that I appreciate the tips regarding Maybelline concealers. I really am interested in the one that is comparable to YSL.

Only one thing this week, a vial of Hask monoi oil for hair. I really like this, I ordered a 12 pack from amazon to replace.

Tossed 2 more eyeliners and powder eye shadows.

Used up:

Another Avon Dramatic Firming Cream and opened a new one. A desert-island product for me.

Neutrogena Moisture Boost (the one in the blue tube with sunscreen) -- I did not like this one as well as the Moisture Boost in the jar. Replaced with Avon Natura.

@joseygirl -- I have a question about Magix primer. I used to use it and love it. One tube I received last year was gritty, so unlike it's usual smooth texture. I contacted Avon - long story, but they refused to replace or refund. I've been afraid to order it again. Have you ever had a problem with any tubes of Magix? Thanks.

Thanks, @joseygirl for the thread this week! Hi, everyone. Have a short list. Yea!

Philosophy 32 oz. Beach Party shower gel. I have had this in the shower for 1-1/ years. Never smelled any coconut just pineapple. While I like pineapple, didn't LOVE this fragrance. Alternated with others but did finally use this up. Will never repurchase this scent. Still using the Perlier shower gel (one of their special area honey ones) that is on the other side of the shower.

Diorshow mascara. Replaced with the second tube that was included in a special purchase from Nordstrom. Also came with a primer tube. Like this mascara very much.

Philosophy Hand Made. Kept a tube in the office. This is my last one as they've discontinued this I believe. Replaced with a Perlier hand lotion that I picked up with others during one of their visits.

Have great weekends everyone.

Everyone using the Maybelline concealers is interesting and may have to try one or the other next time I'm concealor shopping.

Josie Maran whipped argan oil in lemon verbana 2oz- love this, best lemon scent I have ever used, replaced wifh a larger one

Victoria shower gel 10oz, loved this but now D/C

Perlier Lily of the Valley body lotion 5oz, didn't like this at all,

not a repurchase

@Leeny, if the Skinn hydro serum is the one I am thinking about, see if it has a screw off top if it's not too late. A couple of serums I had of his were screw off tops and I kept the bottles thinking I could use them for other things.

Nothing used up up this week. 😩

I have not had a problem with the MagiX Primers. The new one I opened was a little watery, but shaking it ended that. I don't know if this helps, but I order through a sales rep. I've never had a issue with items being returned through a rep.

Happy Friday to all!

This week I used up just a few things:

Elf Lip Lock pencil. I've used many of these but because I have to order online and just don't feel like it right now, I'm replacing with NYX lip primer.

Paula's Choice Super Lightweight antioxidant serum. Replaced with same.

Jergens Natural Glow lotion, use it about 4 days a week so I don't look so scary pale.

Thanks joseygirl for keeping us on track to use up our products! I'm now focusing on using up my many different foundations. It will take a long time!

I used up Simple Miceller water, replaced from my stash under the sink. Love this product!

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion. I have several of these, at the office and in my purse. I have so much lotion it's not funny. This is a good lotion and I would recommend.

Happy weekend beauties!

We managed to use up a couple more things this week:

Aveenoo Positively Radiant daily face moisturizer with SPF 30 2.5ounce- I really liked this and have repurchased it many times but I'm trying to find a cruelty free option if I can. I replaced it with an Andalou Naturals daily defense SPF 18 that I'm also really liking. I wish the SPF were a little higher, but it's good for using under makeup. Only downside is I have to order it online. I might end up getting another Aveeno if it's not convenient to order online, but otherwise, I'm pleased so far. Price is the same too.

Hubby used up a Spa Haus shower gel 16oz, Rainforest scent- I picked this up at the dollar store and it's perfectly fine. I'm done spending lots of money on soap. When my last BBW and Philosophy shower gels are finished I'll switch over to inexpensive shower gel too. Dollar store items are perfectly fine. I still like my BBW lotions and spray fragrance, but I don't care about the gel. We replaced his with another scent of the same.

That's all for this week. Hopefully I'll have something else to report next week!

@tototwo I replyed to your question about he MadiX Primer but have not seen it appear. I have not had an issue with the primers, the one I recnetly opened was a little watery, but I shook the tube and have not had any more issues. This might help as far as returns and perhaps better customer service. I order through a sales rep. and I don't have any problems with returns. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

No this bottle didn't have a screw off top. I tried to take it off, but no luck. Between this and the "capsules" I will not repurchase until Skinn changes the packagaing.

I finally used up Korres body wash in basil lemon. Now time to start the mint body wash.
