Have you seen his new ads in magazines for his products of late? Each ad was a Two full page ad.........one page has the product....the other page is just a shot of him posing in a tight tee shirtin one ad. The other ad I saw was similar. Full picture of him and then the opposite page the product. The picture of him has nothing to do with selling the product. I just find it very odd to have a whole page just devoted to a picture of him......

I read somewhere that he had been dating Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen's ex. That was before she did something - hmmm...can't remember exactly what it was, but Susan Graver would've said it was crazy and kooky. ANYWAY, I thought he was married. I guess he got a divorce, the new look, and a new girlfriend. Sounds like a midlife crisis to me!

(He looks pretty good in that ad.)

The PTR products I've tried are amazing! Why is it surprising PTR chooses to change his style? More power to him. If I had his wealth assure you! Not only would enjoy the same, My dream would be to have my own chef and farm. Sting who looks amazing! Travels with his chef and owns farm. I see nothing wrong with PTR! Concerning advertising, He can afford it. He really is talented. Reminds me time to reorder my facial wash.💁

just did a mud mask last night from his line.i do really like his skincare products, especially when i can get a great deal.

i have also purchased some of his jewelry from both qvc and his website. they are beautiful and very modern looking.

will not hesitate to purchase the skincare AND the jewelry again.....plus he is not too bad to look at. LOL

I have used some of Peter's products for years. I can honestly say I've never tried one which I would say is awful even if I only used it once. That said, if he makes his personal business public, and puts seductive images of himself in his ads, then present day standards say it's ok for folks to comment about it. I don't begrudge anyone from trying to have the best health and appearance possible for their age, but I agree about the male mid-life thing.

@SeaMaiden Everyone has a choice to buy it or not; apparently many choose to buy his products. I'm one of them. : )

BTW, Lauder often does 2 page ads as does Tom Ford, Donna Karan (both Lauder owned). Guess, LV... many companies. Does it help sales? Don't know.

I'm sorry. I do not care. I'd rather him test on animals than humans. I'm just going to be honest. I like animals, but I don't have a problem as many do with animal testing. It's not my business. I care about how it reacts to my skin.

Peter Thomas Roth does not test any of our formulas or raw materials on animals but we believe in total transparency and will not claim that for the following reasons.

We cannot be certain that a raw material supplier has not now or at some time in the past tested an ingredient on animals. We do not knowingly purchase ingredients that have been tested on animals and inquire before purchasing ingredients, but some staple ingredients that have been used in products for years may have been tested on animals in the past.

We do sell our products in China and some other countries that still do test on animals; though it is our understanding that China is moving towards stopping this practice. We are not alone in selling to China; nearly every major cosmetic company sells there. Also to be noted, many major beauty retailers conduct business there including QVC and Sephora. Again, you must feel comfortable in your choices but we hope you will consider all information in doing so.

I will tell you that I tried his products for the first time when he had his last TSV and I love his retionol. I read where he got divorced. He used to be very subdued but not anymore. I like his new self.

I love his retinol and when I use up my Glycolic, I plan on trying his. I was perusing his offerings here and I had no idea he made jewelry. I'm not interested in that, but I saw this braid silver ring with his name boldly inscribed on the interior: it struck me as hilariously funny!

Does he aspire to establish the next great fashion empire??? Will he be rubbing elbows with Yurman? Gucci?

... where is this ad? Is it in Vogue? I would not have thought anything about the jewelry, but the posts about the ad has me curious.....

Yes, this. A lot of skincare and cosmetic companies claim that they do not test on animals, because they use ingredients that have been around forever, which OTHER companies already did the animal testing to prove safety years and years ago. So yes, they can say they personally never test on animals. PTR is being transparent and honest at least.

To me PTR is a turn off, I liked him better when he was heavier and seemed like a really nice guy. I don't use his products and probably never will.
