NEED ANOTHER MINERAL MAKEUP BESIDES BE

I'm surprised that one of the major cosmetics companies can not come w/ a chemical free mineral makeup. Have you ever read the list of ingredients on the foundation (or other products) we put on our faces? BE is so popular and many people love it. I use it as a touch up powder over BB Tinted Moisturizer. You'd think IT, LG, even BB would give it a try. So many women are wanting natural, chemical free, paraban free, talc free cosmetics. I think it would be a good makeup for another company to try...even Philosophy. They used to have color cosmetics & discontinued them. There's only so much bath gel people can stack in their showers. BTW, why aren't we seeing more Bare Minerals shows?

Doesn't it seem that when you find a good-for-your-skin foundation then it lacks in getting good coverage? I have found this to be true with some of the brands I've tried. Fortunately I don't need a whole lot of coverage and so I've found a couple that I like and use:

Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder and L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed Powder.

Both are pressed and VERY affordable. Honeybee Gardens offers samples on their website for a wee small price. L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed powder is available from amazon and you can view their full color palette on L.A. Colors site.

Again, these will not give you full coverage but will even out your complexion very nicely.

Both are finely milled, talc-free and also free of other unfriendly things. Good luck!

My highly cherished and most beautiful mineral makeup is by Faerieorganic.

It gives a glowing beautiful finish.

It heals my skin; it is made by a woman and family out of North Carolina. They keep offerings basic and minimum and quality.

I have never found an equal.

Samples are offered for each color.

Just the finest... no bismuth oxy

Does not settle in pores.

Good reviews.

oh here I go again...

founder: Erin Minks (I called their company once and they answered!)

I add water to my foundation in troubled areas sometimes. It works well.

It also matches my skin tone perfectly in porcelain00.

i like the plain white too.

Have used 15 years. BE started accentuating crows feet and my complexion looked "blah." So I found this luckily. HTH

I think I heard somewhere that Evine was going to have Jane Iredale.

I only know that line from ads in magazines. Don't they have mineral makeup also?

I use Physician's Formula mineral powder. I really don't know what their list of ingredients is. It doesn't bother my skin.

I noticed in the Avon brochures lately that they have loose mineral powder makeups and blushes. I haven't tried them on yet but they are supposed to be fragrance free, etc.

My dermatologist recommended only two brands -- anything Clinique or Physicians.

When I told him I couldn't get a match (at that time) he just rolled his eyes and said "anything without all of those ??? (Fillers)" Like Coty powder. I told him I was allergic to talc so that wouldn't work LOL

I had fairly good luck with Jane Iredale when I tried it years ago. Not great luck, but just good.

Lily Lolo, Alima Pure, W3ll People all have pretty good color selection and don't have the ingredients I think you're trying to avoid.

I'm going to have to check out Faerie Organics too!

@hyacinth003 Jane Iredale does have mineral makeup. I was hoping to see a new makeup line on QVC. That line is more in facialist's offices. Remember when Q even had Clinique shows & Smashbox (now on HSN)?

@LTT1 My problem is "match" as well. In BE, I'm either fair or fairly light. Before they came out w/ the turn & lock containers that can't be opened, I used to mix those 2 shades.

I first tried Jane Iredale because I wanted a mineral foundation with an appropriate color. I've tried BE, but it made my skin itch and it looked orang-y. Things tend to oxidize on me, but the pressed Iredale foundation doesn't. It holds up very well and doesn't irritate my skin. Nordstrom carries it as well as Soft Surroundings. When Soft Surroundings runs a store-wide sale, the beauty section is included.

I use a couple different foundations but for minerals its Lucy's..They are $17.00 but they do have coupons off and on through the yr....Its way better than BE and really creamy...I get reg and there is no shine like i would get with BE.

I really enjoy Lily Lolo, Alima Pure, and W3ll People as well! Lily Lolo has the best coverage in a mineral powder and they have a great shade range (their mascara is my absolute favorite). Alima Pure is good too, and their powder concealer is better than any liquid concealer I've ever used. W3ll People is great but I didn't find their shade range to have a lot of variety (I still use a lot of their products though). All of these companies offer try-me sizes for sale so you can find your perfect match.
