What do you use to remove mascara, eye shadow etc..thats GENTLE?? Preferably hypoallergenic?? Should I use an eylash primer..my long lashes are taking a beating..tia!

I am a big fan of Laura Geller's primer which is black. For mascara removal Lancome's Bi-Facil is worth every cent. It ranges in price depending on size. I usually buy the 6.7 ounce for $39. Right now you can try it for 20% off at Lancome's website. They are having a 20% off everything sale and the code is on their homepage.

I also like the BodyShops Camomile Eye Makeup Remover, or their Camomile Cleansing Butter for removing stubborn mascara. The Cleansing Butter is a wonderful facial cleanser for the dry winter season.

Baby oil. A little on a cotton ball! It works, inexpensive, and it conditions your eyelids and eye lashes.

Thanks to @HappyDaze, I have been using One Love Organics cleansing oil for a couple years now. It removes all makeup, including waterproof eyeliner. I do follow with a cleansing milk, but it isn't necessary.

I did at one time use Lancome's Bifacil to remove eye makeup, but unfortunately, it really stung my eyes.

Soap & water in the shower. Then take some argan or marula oil and place on your finger and swipe across your lashes at bedtime to condition them. I also use makeup remover wipes by Target to remove eye makeup; however, the soap & water in the shower is the best IMO.

I use Neutrogena eye make-up remover. It is gentle, but removes my waterproof mascara completely. It is not expensive, and readily available.

@emmysmom To help your lashes, go gentle on them. Give up the eyelash curler if you use one. Don't use waterproof mascara...too much tugging (w/any remover or oil to get it off) and at night, I use a clean mascara wand from an old tube to apply vit. E oil to condition the lashes. I had a few bald places that are filling in again.

I use Philosophy Purity and/or Wen 319 BCC. Both work well and remove my eye makep without stinging or irritation.

Prior to cleansing my face, I remove the surface makeup with a facial cleansing cloth (either Skinn or Beekman). Then I do my actual cleansing with Dr. Young Camellia Deep Cleansing Oil (or sometimes Skinn PM Cleanser). Gentle yet effective.

I'm trying to use up my last package of Kirkland makeup remover wipes (which take off everything - I don't use waterproof mascara though) before starting to use FreshFace Makeup Remover Towels by Campanelli. I'm trying to cut out as many chemicals as possible in the things I'm putting on my skin and the reviews on this product prompted me to order them. Some state that these towels even remove eye makeup without using anything but water on them!

Try staying clear of water proof mascara for a while. I take off mascara before I shower...I use organic coconut oil and gently rub my lashes then remove with cotton rounds..I.take a few cotton rounds then I apply Rose Water to 2 cotton rounds...one for each eye and deeply drench with it to remove traces of the oil and it makes your eyes much less irritable.Very hydrating too!

Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion. Apply with fingertip then wipe off gently with a dry cotton pad followed by a slightly wet one.
