I tried the new L EAU Channel...

So I really liked it, even though it's a toilette. Initial spritz was lively, and crisp, while still smelling like the original #5, but as not heavy. I liked it better than the Premiere, which I loved, and used. This is sooo fresh, and pretty, without being heavy, yet you can smell it. So I sprayed my wrists and went home. Hubby said, he can barely smell it....yet the card I sprayed and put in my bedroom, scented the whole room...GORGEOUS!!! Sighhhhh....now what??

I'll add, many perfumes don't seem to stay with me. Guess that's my chemistry. But this coming in a toilette only, bothers me. Same price as Parfum..$100-$132. Toilette is a cheaper version, and usually more alcohol, and does't have staying power. I never settle for toilette. I'm not sure if I'll get this one Maybe they'll make it in parfum?? I'm just about out of perfume...was hoping to get this.

I just ordered this from Sephora today. I did it after smelling a magazine insert. I hop it's as lovely as I think it is.

As a rule, EDTs don't last as long EDPs, but rules are made to broken. I have a couple EDTs that have excellent longevity and last longer than some EDPs. In fact, one is stronger enough that I have to remember to limit myself to one or at most two little spritzes.

So I'd say, @Dazlin, that if the card scented the whole room, you should spritz a bit in the morning and see how long it lasts, remembering that even when you may not smell it anymore, others who get close might.

Also, try putting on a dab of unscented cream or even just a dot of vaseline on the spot(s) you are going to spray it on.

I'm so tempted to ask Santa baby for this for Chrsitmas. I also tried it in a magazine sample.

Eau de Premiere is my fave!!!!

I tried it Thursday night when I was at the mall. At first I liked it. After a while though, it reminded me of the Eau Premiere. Too powdery smelling and kind of gave me a headache, I still love the original No5, which is my signature scent in the winter.

Second day after I put the card I sprayed in room...still smells gorgeous, addicting. I think I MUST have this fragrance!! SANTYCLAUSE...where are you??

I applied the sample that came in this month's Allure. It was divine....but only for a while. It was just a tad cloying. Glad it didn't work out b/c it's a EDT for a bunch of $$$.

Well, I finally broke down and went out to the mall yesterday to try the L EAU Channel. At first I really seemed to like it, but after having it on for awhile it seemed to get a little heady. I could still smelll it last night and I have to say I don't care for it at all. I will stick to my original Channel NO 5 that I have worn since highschool. I hope all of you good luck that purchased it. It just wasn't for me.

I feel exactly the same. Liked it at first when I tried it at the mall, but after a while it started to give me a headache. Still love the original No5 best.
