I always do. I actually picked up 3 in a package at Pottery Barn a few years ago and I use in the shower and also to rinse my face after I wash it at the bathroom sink. I stopped using wash cloths many, many years go and I don't like that material on a rope (forgot the name of it). Why do you ask?

I use them with my Beekman body wash or use my Salux cloth. I bought a couple sea sponges from Natural Bath & Body.

I have seen natural sponges in the paint department in Hardware stores and they seemed to be better priced. I have liked to use them off and on and a small sponge for blending but went to the Beauty Blender.

There was a big fad about using authentic sea sponges for personal hygiene and makeup application when I was a sweet young thing (about 100 years ago).

Then people started growing a concience about harvesting a living organism from the sea bed for their grooming and makeup enhancement.

Fortunately, excellent sea sponge substitutes and other applicators were being developed about that time that left a finer, more flawless finish and didn't support the flourishing bacterial colonies sea sponges did.

We were glad to be able to use a better product when the choice became available. It's so interesting when these things circle around.
