Let me start by saying that I know nothing about the tv business. With that said, I would think that if their profits are down at QVC, then why a third tv channel? Why not take QVC Plus and do beauty in the evenings? Like I said I know nothing about this business, but I would think that it would cost more to run 3 channels versus 2. Maybe someone can help me understand it.

It seems that revenue is down on the Q. Maybe instead of paying all the hosts to present endless repeats of the same shows & products, why not run pre-recorded shows all day (still listed on the PROGRAM GUIDE) and LIVE SHOWS only at night when folks are home. I'm enjoying the refreshing tutorials w/o the hard sell on BEAUTY I Q. I find myself changing over to BEAUTY IQ more often than when the channel premiered for those reasons.

Evine runs pre-recorded shows all night until 8:00 a.m.. I'm thinking all the home shopping shows will eventually go that way - especially the "Dyson" type shows where the TSV is shown ALL DAY LONG. Why not record the midnight show and just run it over and over - might as well. Save some money.

Please remember that not everyone works 9-5 or Monday through Friday. They also would like a chance to get first choice of new products. My problems with watching QVC Plus is the recorded shows if I want to buy. Often when I go to make a purchase my size or chosen color is already sold out. Why should those with different schedules always be given leftover choices. I have watched Beauty IQ but those shows move way to slow for me. Laura Geller was on the other night and I do like to watch her classes but the rest of the night she was not in the LG shows and they just repeated applications already shown earlier. I will only watch the Beauty shows if I am in the market to buy a particular product.

@hoosieroriginal. I have to agree with you totally on products such as Dyson, Sharp, Kitchen aid, etc. Even bedding only has only so many choices to pick from. Clothing and jewerly have many choices to pick from during the hour. They could also cut back on the idle chit chat and put one more item of clothes or jewerly in each hour. One more item per show X 24 hours could be a big boost in sales profits. There are times I think the host turn to chit chat when they run out of different words of praise for the products. The host have a job I could never do. I am not a sales person and I could not stand there smiling while I tried to convince you to buy a product that I do not like or believe in. I would be a horrible liar. Maybe liar is to strong a word but I do not believe that the hosts buy and use all they say that they do. I realize they get paid very well, they get samples to try before the shows and they get big discounts but they still would be giving a major part of their paycheck back to QVC. They would have rotating closets and donation bins. Like all TV, I watch selected shows to buy from vendors I trust and products I need. I am still waiting for quality, value and quality control to return to the trusted times of the past. I believe QVC controls the manufacturing of most fashion items and the designer has little control over the final product that we receive. Many times the designers have said that the products are delivered directly to QVC and they have to buy samples of their own designs. I am sad to read negative reviews against designers for the product quality if they have nothing to do with it. I don't know what the answer is. Made in USA is always a great response but I know from personal purchases that is not a guarantee of product quality either. ??????

Those hours would have worked for me some years ago, but for the last 10 or 20 years, I've rarely checked into QVC just to watch any time after dinner. Maybe if I'd seen a TSV earlier in the day and hadn't made up my mind, I'd be happy to see the repeats during commercials on my evening shows.

No idea how they can make everyone happy. But that's true for all of retail. Even the successful enterprises keep changing because we consumers are changing.

Just this week Amazon offered a sale on their Prime memberships - undoubtedly something to do with an article I had read a few days before they sent the sale notice which said membership is nearly peaked out among people who can afford to buy Prime.
