Anyone going to this event? It is Tea with Lisa Robertson, at Easton, PA on Sunday 11/13.

Groupon is offering half off tickets, at $20.

I am thinking of going. Curious to see if anyone else got their tickets.

The Tea is at the The Acopian Ballroom which can accommodate 200 for dining and 300 for receptions, much more interesting that before.

I agree, she has her own Facebook page where she/her fans can promote her events and merchandise, so I don't understand why they use her EX-employers website to advertise competing merchandise and photo ops.....or maybe I do.....free advertising.

I really resent her being touted as "everyone's favorite host". LR was in no way EVER my favorite TV host. In fact, I never watched her after the first time or two I saw her.

I don't think this is for charity at all. I think some misunderstood and thought it was for charity, posted that on this board and it sort of took off. But I can't find anywhere that this is for charity.

@Mlsg, I know what you are talking about however, all that blogger says is that "a facebook friend pointed out that the money goes towards charity." However, when you click on the link provided, nowhere does it say that. Nowhere can I find that Lisa said that either.

Where did this FB friend get her information?

The last time someone on this board said this was for charity, I went back on Lisa's page and even on the photo she posted about the event, she doesn't talk about this being for charity.

Lisa was the first host I actually watched on Q years ago. She was entertaining and could sell about anything. Over the years, her presentations got stale (beautiful beautiful amazing amazing) and she seemed like she was phoning it in. I've checked her FB lately to see what all the talk is about and I feel like she has "jumped the shark" so to speak. She leaves Q to sell fake jewelry from her sofa, calls out names like Romper Room on her iPad, and chats with people while sitting with a stuffed bear in full face makeup on her couch. I feel like she has crossed over to Norma Desmond territory and can't live without the admiration of her "tribe" telling her how gorgeous she is all the time. JMO, but I find it a little weird.

A Facebook friend pointed out that proceeds from ex-QVC host Lisa Robertson’s appearance next month will go to a charity.

The money, $35 a pop, will benefit the nonprofit State Theatre and FREDDY Awards program in Easton, Pa.

Robertson will be conducting an afternoon tea for fans on Nov. 13 at the theater.

I cannot confirm now but addition to this I read in some different place( simse it was some news paper ) that 100% goes for charity.

i did not paid much attention that time but after I saw second time in this blog. Some people believe , some don't want to believe, it's ok,After all can make a call to this place and ask.

i believe becouse this is good business decision, work for both. Lisa is good business person and this is good marketing.

Yeah that's what I can find but where is the FB friend getting her info because I cannot find that anywhere.

I'm not attending one way or the other and if it's for charity, that's great but if it's not, that would be fine too. I just wonder where the info. came from. It's odd that the venue wouldn't say something about that. Or is it possible that the ticket money from any event held at that venue goes to that charity?
