GREAT PRODUCTS FOR CURLY HAIR

As anyone w/ curly or wavy hair knows, we're always in search of the perfect products. I have a cabinets of "rejects". Happy to announce GARNIER FRUCTIS (drugstore, TARGET, etc.) has a curly hair line that's the best I've tried: leave in conditioner/heat protectant, curl enhancing mousse (no crunch), spray gel and a reactivating curl spray that brings curls back to life for 2nd & 3rd day hair. On the GARNIER site, there are tips/hints for curly hair & videos. Think I'll clear out my cabinet and only use these products!!!!

Good heavens, why do you have to use all those products? I have short, naturally wavy hair. After shampooing, I give it a couple sprites of leave-in conditioner, comb and scrunch into place and GO.

Unfortunately, my hair is mostly wavy & more curly in some places. The leave-in keeps it moisturizer, depending on the day: mousse or gel & since washing EVERY day w/ shampoo dries out curly hair, I use a curl enhancing spray for days I don't wash it. You're so lucky that your hair is wash & go.

I really like Tresemme Flawless Curls Mousse. It's very inexpensive, plus there are often coupons for it online or in the Sunday paper, plus it's commonly found e.g. CVS. The stuff really works to bring out my curls!

Thanks, @Shanus! I will give the curl reactivating spray a try. I'm nearly out of my Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Hold and Shine Moisture Mist and that stuff isn't easy to find locally.

I'm with @Kachina624 on the less is more school of hair containment

My hair is super curly, think Rosanne in the Wen presentations, and near waist length so absolute control over it is a pipe dream but I keep it moisturized with my choice of cleanser and an occasional serum or oil to the scalp when I think about it.

But daily it's comb, put a little defining gel or texture balm through it, and I'm done....

I only ever use a comb on my hair; never a brush which has made a significant difference in hair breakage!

Thank you, Shanus, for the information on curly hair products. My hair sounds like yours. I need to try different products and then rotate them out to keep my curls from frizzing and staying curly. Will check the Fructis line out.
