I have the light in both. I don't really notice a difference. If your on the more medium to light side i don't think you could go wrong with either. But I would probably go with the light. I think the colors are pretty forgiving and will work for most.

I'm thinking about trying the IT cc cream in the tube - the illuminating one. Does it run light? Dark? right on? Also how is it in relation to the regular cc cream? coverage wise? color wise? I do sort of like the it illumination in powder in the medium, but I had a sample of the regular cc cream (with sunscreen in medium) and it seemed quite light color-wise to me.

What do you guys think. Help me choose a color! Thanks!

I think the light shade is pretty neutral also. Don't know about the medium shade.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the replies.

So, I guess I'm still not sure about which color because my sample of the regular cc with spf is very light on me even though it's medium. I actually have used it as an undereye concealer in the summer. the spf was great.

Anyway, maybe I should do the tan then in the illuminating?

I would say my skin is medium, but not medium to light. Maybe medium to somewhat darker. I am not tan actually. But maybe in this I am. I can wear the tan in Doll10 liquid foundation, which imo does run lighter.

Ccassaday can you tell me your feelings about both the cc creams? You had mention you have and wear both the regular and the illuminating one. Which do you prefer? When and why do you wear one v. the other? etc.

I like them both the same. The illuminating of course has a more dewy look but I don't think it's greasy. What color do you wear in other foundations. Maybe that will help us with a color for you. You may need the tan.

IMHO and on me...all IT products run light.

I need Tan with most IT products and I am medium in most other mfg. (Laura Geller, Mally, Tarte, BE, Josie)

I have both cc creams and do not notice any difference in color between the types.

I do not see any difference between the illum. tan and cc tan other than a slight dewy w/ the illum. In fact, I won't bother to order the illum. again.

I use medium under my eyes and tan on my entire face.

Just a thought....ULTA carries IT....I would go in to test the colors if you possibly can so you don't waste return shipping on the wrong color with Q.

You can go into an Ulta and try the colors to know for sure. That's what I did! I would say they run pretty true to what you'd expect for the lighter shades at least - can't speak for the darker ones.

Both formulas are wearable for me though the illumination I could NOT wear without using a setting powder (ie bye bye pores for example) afterwards. It's way too "wet" looking on me and I don't mind the dewy look but this is a bit beyond dewey IMO - at least on my skin. I counteract all of the powder by using Urban Decay's Chill (has to be chill) setting spray at the end, which I never did before but now I'm addicted. Adds back a nice dewy, more natural finish after using a powder.

Thanks again for ther replies!

I don't have a local ULTA yet, it's opening soon though, so that will be very helpful.

It seems hard for me to find a foundation that I like, but for now I would say a decent match for me is the doll10, but I have to mix both the medium and tan (more of the tan). I had ordered the bare minerals today special with the serum foundation - two of them - barenatural - which makes me look like a ghost and bare beige which is just too yellow for me and a bit dark.

I have the powder celebration illumination foundation in both tan and medium. Soon, in my true winter skin color, I will be good wearing the medium alone, but for now it's a bit light.

I did not like the regular celebration foundation at all. Colors didn't work on me and it seemed too flat.

Thoughts?

My guess is you would be tan. Go to the it website. You can order a trial size for $15 of the regular cc cream.

I think you should get tan. Pretty sure Shawn and a couple other hosts use tan. Doll 10 skews a bit light, don't think IT CC does, but it does lean towards the peachy-tan undertone. I have fair and light and really need a shade between the 2.
