I have a pixie hair cut with long bangs. I am looking for a hair styling cream for AFTER my hair is dry. I just want a little hold, but still movement. There has to be something out there like this. Years ago, I used Clairol Vita-Pointe, but I'm wanting something newer.

I have tried numerous gels, pomades, waxes and pastes, but none of them give me the look and feel I want. They are either sticky, dull looking, wet looking or greasy feeling.

HELP ME MY FRIENDS!!

Have you asked your stylist to recommend something for your hair & what you are looking for? I have much better look with her help than choosing my own.

My hair is very short and I use WEN's SixThirteen Ultra Nourishing Styling Creme. It gives my hair extra body and hold, but is not stiff or sticky and you can reapply it .

Do you want a texturizer? I have a bunch of different products that I use. I don't spray them on my hair. I spray it on my hands and then run my fingers through my hair to style. These are some that I use on dry hair.

Fekkai Coiff Oceanique

John Frieda's Frizz Ease Secret Weapon

John Frieda's Dream Curls

I use Wen 319 (fragrance free) Styling Cream and absolutely love it. But it doesn't give any hold. It feels more like a leave in conditioner which gives amazing shine and volume. I would suggest the matrix Root lifting spray. If they still make it, I used to use it for years when I had short hair. It gives hold without that hair spray/gel feel.

Give Aveda's paste a try. It will give you that piecey look and it's not extremely sticky. Another good one is by Aquage but it is on the sticky side but they also have other products. If you interested just do a Google search with their name. I actually have both products. I need a haircut desparately so I am going to call the salon to see if I can move up one week. Good luck in your search.
