Ocusoft Lid Scrub - Another Use Discovered

Last year, I was having an allergic reaction to eye drops and my eye doctor had me use this to help heal my eyelids.

The first thing I noticed was it was an incredible eye makeup remover and have used it every night since to remove my eye makeup. I use BE lid primer and waterproof mascara and this stuff just dissolves it immediately. Best eye makeup remover ever.

Recently, I decided to try it to remove the hair dye around my scalp after I get my hair professionally colored. Even though they put a silicone primer on me (and I also put primer and sunscreen on my face before I go), there is still some darkness around the edge of my face. I was using coconut oil for a while and that helped a lot, but I decided to try this stuff and it works very well.

I think it's about $18 a bottle, but it lasts for months using it every day (you only need a small squirt of foam for each eye) and it's worth every penny to me. I also have travel sizes from Amazon to take to the salon and for travel.

This scrub is great. My husband and I use the premoistened little pads.

Do you think this would work for contact dermatitis on the eyelids? I seem to get this on and off and it drives me crazy!!

@out of control- I don't know but it certainly wouldn't hurt it I wouldn't think. Our eye doctor suggested my husband use it for redness on his eyelids (can't remember the official name for that) and I've used it before. Great stuff. Again, we use the premoistened little packs. You rub them very lightly across your eyelid and under the lower lashes.

Of course, you should check with your eye doctor before starting anything.

@Suebdoo Yes, it is not drying. I think it helped my dermatitis clear up and made my eyes look better.

I was given a prescription for my contact dermatitis on my eyelids. You have to be careful what you use and what is prescribed and for how long because there are concerns about cataracts, etc.

I used to too until I figured out what was causing it.

My eye doctor gave me a script for an ointment (that started with an F), that was a MIRACLE worker. It soothed the skin and resolved the rash quickly- every time.

Until I figured out the cause I was never without a tube of the ointment.
