Anyone have a review of Laura's latest tsv?

Just wondering if anyone else loves it like I do? It looks so nice on my skin! Everything in this kit works together to make my skin look color coordinated and flawless! The new baked elements lipstick and gloss stay put all day on me. Did anyone notice that the top of the lipstick tube is magnetic, and when I slide it partway on, it pulls itself down, and clicks closed! Anyway, wanted to share my review, and look forward to reading yours

I'm jealous. I talked myself out of ordering and I've regreted it. I don't do a lot of eyeshadows, but was thinking the matte might be a more natural look. Glad you enjoy it!! Next time I'll give it a go.

I like everything about this kit. I was worried lipstick would taste chocolatey but it is fine. Colors are beautiful.

I would like to comment on the packaging! It is so classy! I hate those kits that include the cheesy throwaway makeup bag. We all have a ton of them and they are totally unnecessary. The box LG's makeup came in is really nice; definitely a keeper that a person can find some use for.

The makeup is great, too!

I have it, worn it for 3 days now, LOVE IT! always had her BandB and blush but those shadows are fantastic, very "creamy" for a powder, I am fair so the lipstick is darker than I would wear but I lighten it with the gloss. very happy, hoping there are no glitches with auto delivery!

For those that missed it- beauty.com has several Laura Geller kits with full size B & B compacts. THey're 25% off right now, more affordable that the tsv! (& the tsv was a great deal!) I keep looking at the beauty.com kits ....they're very tempting!!

I almost didn't purchase the TSV kit, but finally did because LG products never disappoint. I was surprised how much I loved the blush! It was a really soft color on my skin with a touch of highlight and stayed on all day. I wear balance-and-brighten everyday, so I already love that. The eye color pallet is perfect for the fall and I actually saw Laura put the taupe shade on a models eyebrows, so I did the same and wa-la! LOVE! The lipstick and lip gloss are just perfection. My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary in October and are having professional pics of our family, and I’ll be wearing this entire LG kit! I give this a 5 star rating !

I just received mine. I have never purchased LG before. I like the eyeshadows and blush. Not sure yet about the foundation. Also, I like the lipstick. Never been a gloss fan. I'll probably give that to one of my daughters. I also did the auto delivery for the next 2 kits.

I received it too and give it two thumbs up.

I've always had good luck with B n B, so this will go in the stash for later.

The blush , eyeshadows and lip products go very well together. Not a hint of orange as one poster mentioned noticing. Nice warm berry shades. The blush looks very intense in the pan, but goes on with a nice, sheer tint.

The shadows are creamy with good color pay-off. The eyeshadow brush is a nice surprise.

The gloss is a little light for me to wear by itself but looks great with the lipstick which is that perfect "your lips but better" rosy neutral on me.

This was a great value and for once, I love every component to the kit.

I like Laura Geller as lot...between her and Bare Escentuals and some of the IT, my makeup is pretty easy to use.

Here's a mini review:

BnB same as ever except I think the medium looked way dark. I'm apparently not alone in this observation. It went on ok on my med-light cool complexion but I changed the A/D to Fair in future. Medium works for summer.

The lipstick: a brownish pink nude, darker than a nude pink. Goes on well, matte, and is very creamy. I like it a lot. A nude pink is a good color on most women and this is a good variation. It's probably dark enough that women of color won't look washed out, either.

The gloss--way too light for me and it's also not shimmery. So it's a flat, too light, peachy pink nude. Many colors in TSVs are like this color (Cafe au Lait) but this one is so light, my lips show through. On top of lipstick, it lightens a color and is ok. Alone? Nope nope nope.

The eyeshadow palette. Very nice. Again, NO shimmer. It's matte. The colors are neutral nudes or pinkish tones. So you have cream, brown and caramel, strawberry cream, strawberry and burgundy.

The brushes are just meh. My eye brush was bent, I had to repair it and it's very ordinary and a bit too thick to do lining although it's angled so you kind of can. The kabuki is that regular sized one for BnB we probably have quite a few of, if you order Geller stuff.

The blush: a darker raspberry called "Cherry Truffle." No shimmer! Goes on well due to the domed shape.

I was on the fence, tried it all on, decided it looked very polished for work. Keeping it. Out of the entire TSV, I only dislike the gloss, the rest I like a lot. The shadow palette is so compact in the cardboard slide box, with a ribbon pull (like a candy box) that it packs well for travel. You could put lipstick, eyeshadow, BnB, blush, two small brushes and a travel mascara in the smallest makeup bag in a rollabout and not take up much room on a trip. For those who travel or keep makeup kits in purse, very compact.

FYI you can change an order to A/D (in "my orders") and you can even change the color sometimes--I did. Changed Medium to Fair.

I love this kit!!! My favorite TSV in a long time!

First off, I'm very pale with pink undertones and right now I'm a vibrant red head , thank you 'Vidal Sassoon hair color! . The colors look great on my skin.

The lipstick is a rosy brown color on my lips. Like a raisin color. The blush is beautiful on my skin! I use a light hand and then gradually make it a little darker. perfect for Fall! If you can imagine a dark rose blush and a light bronzer mixed together, then you have this shade. On my skin, the blush reveals soft warm brown color with a soft natural pink rose hue. I usually wear light pink blushes, but I wanted to try this blush since I have nothing like this in my stash. I think you should try shades that you are convinced will not work for you; you may be surprised with the outcome. I learned this from a Sephora makeup artist years ago. He applied Laura Mercier s Spice blush on me and I was stunned at how great it looked on me!

Eyeshadows and soft and pigmented. No fallout, not powdery. Both the shadows and the blush last ten hours on my skin,

The gloss is pink and it does lighten up the lipstick, but both can be worn alone or together so you are getting three different colors from the two products.

I don't like the foundation, never have, but after seeing the the video that Amelie posted and the swatches on Musings site, I decided the foundation was not a deal breaker for me. I'm on auto delivery and look forward to the future shipments. So glad I got this kit!

Home run for me. I wasn't sure about the lip color, but I love it. I find it to be a creamier, rosier shade than Bobbi brown's brownie, if that helps anyone. I also loved (and appreciate) the magnetic click of the lipstick cap. Blush is really pigmented so use sparingly. On me the blush looks like the cheek color I get after being outside hiking or something somewhat physical - a nice healthy flush. Love the eye shadows too, great pigmentation and staying power, and all the colors are fab. I've used the gloss before so I knew I'd like that. Overall the kit has a nude/neutral but slightly rosy look but perfect for fall. Great deal too IMO, esp with free shipping.

So glad I ordered this TSV The eyeshadows alone are worth it. Some of the creamiest sofestt eyeshadows I've ever worn. Perfect for dry eyelids. This is my first experience with LG shadows. Are her shadows normally this soft & creamy? My only want if for these creamy shadows to be offered in a larger palette. The blush is also a beautiful color. Looks dark but when applied just a light dark rose color. I'm quickly becoming a LG fan. My only true complaint is talc listed as the top ingredient in the foundation. Stilll like it but do wish it has less talc.

Update: Worn this twice out for entertaining this weekend (two dinners out with two sets of friends.) Same compliment--that I looked less tired and a lot better than I had been. I wore the same makeup each evening: the entire kit plus some French Vanilla on the cheekbones and just the lipstick, not the gloss. The pink shadow, caramel in the crease and a slight bit of the brown to line the corners only.

I think it's the blush--it's a very natural color that looks like you had some sun and wind.

I'm surprised how much I like this kit. Practically foolproof and the eyeshadow really does stay on.
