I did order the Foundcealer and got it directly from Tarte, fast delivery! I used it for the first time yesterday. It's a bit thick but has a beautiful finish. I found it a bit hard to spread but my face was on the dry side when I applied it. I have been using the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint, which is a much lighter texture, so I'm not used to a regular foundation. I purchased the light-medium and it's a good shade. I think I'm going to like it but will need to make sure my skin is very moisturized before applying. So you say the new Foundcealer is a serum?

It's a skin enhancing powder. The color I want is on waitlist. It has one 5 star review. Does anyone know of a dupe or have you tried it? I was wondering if it's sparkly or what it looks like on.

Here is the Q link.

http://www.qvc.com/Edward-Bess-Threads-of-Silk-Multi-Use-Powder.product.A287141.html?sc=A287141-&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-18-_-A287141&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/a/41/a287141.001?$uslarge$

I don't have this one. I have one from tarte that looks similar. Called Colored Clay Bronze Blush that comes in Pink or Peach.

Each brand works a bit differently. Some have no pigment, even with all of the pretty blocks of color & are basically just a translucent powder on your face. Some have more pigment & will work as a blush or bronzer. The tarte powder is a pretty powder. Finely milled & just adds a hint of color to my face. Not dark enough to be a bronzer or to contour or anything.

It's hard to beat Tarte's color payoff when it comes to their blushes and bronzers. At least that's what I've found with the ones I've bought.

I like Tarte products, but if you aren't in a big hurry they are usually on sale somewhere. Tarte site, Sephora, Ulta, Haute Look, etc. I have used the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation (Not sure how these 2 are different) & it is fairly full coverage. You have to get your shade right, because there is so much coverage. I mainly use the BB Tinted Treatment Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 as my foundation. It gives me nice coverage to even out my skintone. Sometimes I mix the 2 to adjust my coverage.

This is a similar texture (mousse-like) to the original amazonian clay foundation. This lasts a good 6-8 hours for me, with JM tinted moisturizer underneath (no primer). They bury this product on the QVC site, and I am not sure it is even available elsewhere because the "new" foundcealer is a serum.

@Himi lover You can also try mixing the Nars & your Tarte together to get a different consistency or a bit of something else, if you like.

@ajsidney12 mentioned that the Tarte is a serum, but I don't see that listed anywhere. I only see foundation & concealer.

I have that color .

It goes on very light. You can build the color. I use this as blush and build up the color on the cheeks.

I bought this the first time it was presented in the lighter shade, Belissima. I have very fair skin and use it as an all over bronzer because it gives my face warmth without an orange or brown look, just a golden soft haze. It is very light so if you are looking for a blush this would not be it. But if you want a pale golden powder/bronzer it works very well.

@Himi lover I did say that they had a "new" foundcealer that was a serum, but that was a year or so ago. Maybe it was not that big of a success or maybe that is what they are calling the new Aquacelaer line (?).

I use Josie Maran oil and her moisturizer before I use the foundcealer I recommended. I use sparingly, as you say it can be a little thick. I am sorry it is not working that well for you, but I did have to play around with it a little too. I also use one of the Tarte brushes to apply it. When I originally purchased this item it came with a double ended brush, but I actually prefer to use the bigger one that sell here on the Q, item #A324868.
