Geez OP, I read your quesiton completely wrong and I apologize.

El has a huge factory in NY. They make their own products in their own facilities where as most contract through labs/companies that make products for multiple lines (not owned by EL).

It wouldn't suprise me if EL was going to open a plant in China simply to get product quicker to parts of the world/larger customer base.

I'm going to read up on this; thank you for posting the question!

So I'm reading all the politics out there and one of the representatives had a special interest in the US trading relations with China.....I guess EL donated somewhere

between 100 to 250K....

so a company wouldn't donate that kind of money if they didn't have an iron in the fire, are these cosmetics all made in China?

Where do you find this out...been researching and can't find a country of origin.

To sell in China, you must comply with their laws and they require animal testing. This is why many customers now boycott companies once they start selling their: EL owns a HUGE number of cosmetic lines.

A simple google search will bring up everything. : )

I will be interested in whatever information is found on this subject. I have been a loyal user of one of their perfumes (Estee) since the 70's..... I've found that in all those years the product has remained the same, quality, etc. Only recently have they changed their bottle to a smaller size and upped their price a bit more...
