I'm a short version of #2 on the chart. I gave up long nails eons ago. Not a good look, IMO.

Me too.

I never really had long nails but would get fills. I looked down one day and thought the gel manicure was making my hands look just plain ugly. I had it taken off about 4 or 5 years ago and have never looked back.

@lolakimono Thank you for posting. I think this is the most complete graphic I've seen of the shapes for natural (or natural looking) nails.

Now that I look closer, I'm a squoval too. My short nails aren't as square as #2.

Always short though. There's something very dated looking about long nails.

edited: Guess I was right the 1st time. I responded to the 1st chart posted then based what I thought was my mistake on the 2nd chart. Like it really matters.. lol

Thanks, @lolakimono.

My nails are strongest (& healthiest) staying short and square.

But I do smooth any sharp corner edges.

Plus, this length & shape lets me to do anything without worry about breaking or damaging them.

I'd never let aesthetics keep me from doing whatever.
