Will It Cosmetics continue to work with plastic surgeons ?

Since It Cosmetics has sold to Loreal I wonder if they will still be working with plastic surgeons as they develop new products or will the products become a higher priced version of the Loreal products I can get at the drugstore... I hope not. Any thoughts from anyone on this matter ?

my experience with loreal has not been good. They are the only products that I have ever reacted to and I never use them....so unless this is a different branch or subsidiary it may be good bye to IT for me.

Paula of Paula's Choice has products analyzed in a lab and one such IT product was a primer that claimed it had 50 skin loving ingredients in it that came back from the lab showing such small, minuscule amounts of each ingredient it had no positive affect on the skin. In fact, there was no way it could live up to its claims because the amounts were just too small. So much for consulting with a plastic surgeon or a chemist for that matter.

Since L'Oreal is now the parent company and DOES do animal testing, no more IT cosmetics for me.

A plastic surgeon does different procedures with high prices. I don't think they would get into the cosmetic business. They are to busy.

Probably Jamie consulted with plastic surgeon when she started perfecting her products, but I sincerely doubt she does that now. I tried her lipstain and wasn't impressed with the long lasting coverage.

My understanding of the "I' speak to plastic surgeons," ploy comes from facelift patients who already had work done and needing skincare that won't irritate their face going forward.

The "I speak to plastic surgeons" phrase has no relevance to the majority of her customers and that is the rub. She should have said "to all of my customers who have had facelifts, my brand is safe to use going forward.

This has been a bone of contention to those of us who use her products with the hope that it will stave off plastic surgery and THAT MISCONCEPTION Jaime and others perpetuate by their mishandling of the "I speak to plastic surgeons" phrase.

I think several of the QVC offered beauty items are in fact "owned" by other companies.

Coty owns Philosophy, Estee Lauder owns Bobby Brown, MAC, Ojon (which used to be on QVC), L'Oreal owns Yves St. Laurant, Lancome, etc. Guess it's the way things work now, the "inventor's" grow a business then sell out to the highest bidder.

NJgirl, I wish I had that clapping hands emoji for your post. I always felt that was such a weak marketing spiel for Jmie to use and find it rather offensive. Reason being, every single cosmetic company around the world has doctors of medicine and science on their payrolls as consultants, and as formulators, and for running clinical trials. It is naive to believe that IT Cosmetics is the only brand which pays for the expertise of doctors. If this were the case, then people no science skill whatsoever could be product developers for Estee Lauder, and their corporate secretaries could run the clinical trials. Come on... this group is smarter than that. Every company uses DOCTORS of some kind along the way before a cosmetic product goes to market. Hey, one more thing, many of those accepting a check from Estee Lauder, Revlon, and all the rest are plastic surgeons too.

To me, the statement "work with plastic surgeons" holds the same weight as products that state "dermatologist tested"- means virtually nothing. Just a marketing ploy.

Jaime's rosacea is severe enough looking that I wonder if it's even been treated medically by a dermatologist or any other doctor. She's been a vendor in Canada on The Shopping Channel for 7 years and I've never seen an improvement in her skin at all.
