What is everyone's opinion of the Josie Maran Cleansing Oil?

I love the amount of argan oil in it, and it smells great, but it's awful thick.

That being said, it does work well, and even dissolved the waterproof Smashbox eyeliner I had on.

I think I prefer the Zum Gentle Face Wash though - it's just coconut, olive, and castor oils with a touch of lemon oil. It's only $8 too!!!

I like it a lot and I feel like it leaves behind moisture from the argan oil. It removes makeup very well. If I have my hands & face wet it doesn't seem thick. I only use about 1 pump usually unless I am trying make up. I really love JMs whole line but it seems a bit pricey for me. Good stuff though.

Hated it. Like spreading honey on your face and then that odd taste it leaves in your mouth even though your mouth isn't open! Gag. Also irritated my eyes and made my skin feel tight/dry. One of the worst cleansing oils I've tried.

My derm once told me that you can't clean your face with these oil-cleansers. He said he has seen a spike in acne-related skin problems since they have become increasingly popular. My derm told me that some of the people he is treating for acne never had acne before using these type products. fyi.

I'd find a new derm then because this blanket statement just simply is not true! lol!

My face cleared amazingly once I started with Josie's line. I had such clogged skin from bad stage make up I had to wear and incredibly high stress. I tried everything and was frustrated until I started with Josie's products. I use the oil cleansers and her scrub and use argan milk and oil for my moisture and treatment and my face is clear, soft, bright and wonderful now. Nothing is for everyone, but for me and many others the oil based, clean products are the best I've ever used!

I love her cleansing oil....but I get my face really wet first, add a splash to my hands, yes it's thick, but I have my method down and it takes everything off and never leaves my skin dry...(I can't always have it due to cost, but when I am able to get some my skin always looks better)

I really like it! I just finished a bottle and starting using other cleansers to remove my makeup and find myself missing it. I took all my eye makeup off so easily and that is with waypterproof mascara. I will look for the next time she has a sale or kit with it and get it again.

I've had it for over a year since her TSV. I use it when my skin seems to need a break from cold weather or exfoliating cleansers. It's great for that purpose, but I wouldn't use it exclusively. Serious Skin Care also has an olive oil cleanser that's nice.

@Sunnycorle If you're interested, Josie Maran's website has a 20% discount through today. I also noticed that QVC online still has some kits that have the cleansing oil in it as well.

Most cleansing oils I've tried have dried my skin and I couldn't use them.
JM does not dry my skin but it is thick. just wet your face or hands.
Because I liked the results, I kept using it. I am very happy with it and it lasts forever.

I find it incredible... I use two pumps. Totally washes away all makeup, including those claiming to be bullet proof. May seem to be a bit thick... I shake it up, two pumps in my palm, rub my palms together then spread all over my face and eyes, rinse my hands with water then rub all over my face to activate the oil.... Fabulous! I have extrememly sensitive eyes and wear contacts, doesn't bother them a bit. May seem a bit pricey when looking at the bottle, but at only two pumps a shot... last for quite a while. Very moisturizering, doesn't leave the face feeling dry or tight unlike the majority of cleansers. I have very sensitive skin, never had trouble with acne.... still don't!

Just my opinion.... Two thumbs up Josie! Wonderful Cleanser!

@quadmimi yes, she has had the cleansing oil for a long time. I had only heard of QVC about ~2012 but I knew of Josie's products long before I ever watched or even heard of QVC.

HATED it. I have many JM products that I love. This one upset me. I bought it at sephora. I never took it back. It was so thick. Did I say I HATED it. oK you all get my point.
