Omg I want the artisan brushes

Has anyone tried or seen these brushes in tutorials. You can literally do all your makeup with five brushes. I think I wouldn't use them for bronzing or blush but they can be used for those things. Anyone tried these or the dupes on Amazon. The five piece set is pricey at $165.

How funny! I was coming to post just now about these brushes being back on HSN and here is your post talking about Artis. I'm jumping in to say I want them too. In fact this morning I ordered the Artis set for $95 that has 3 brushes, the cleaning pad, and foam. It sold out last time they were on and I got an email saying they are back.

Aside: I did grab a similar look 10 brush piece set from Amazon that is another brand for $40. And I liked these enough to go for the Artis. I can't believe how much nicer my Laura Geller foundation and blush look using these type brushes. What a happy discovery.

I think I would get the five pease set and one bigger oval brush. I can dream but maybe down the road I can get a set.

There are so many sets on Amazon for soooo much less. I got the O! Wow brush and I love it but on Amazon it is half what I paid for it on another channel.

I tried the Artis set. I liked them, but I felt they were priced way too high so I returned them. I then got the Cailyn O Wow brush. IMO, it performs just as well as the Artis at a fraction of the price.

You may be perfectly happy with the less expensive set of brushes & that would be great. But, I know that, mostly, the pricier brushes are more for a reason. I have one of the Mac Professional Oval 6 & it applies foundation sooo nicely. I do not have nice skin, but when I use this brush it looks like it is.

Ladies, check out ovalbrushset.com. You get a 10-piece set for $39.95. I think they are exactly like the $350 ones. I received mine, I use them, and I love them! I ordered an extra set for my daughter for Christmas.

I think I may order one of those sets for 40 on Amazon the next time I place a order. I am horrid with eyeliner on upper lie and those brushes make it look so easy. I don't think cheaper matters. There are so many inexpensive brushes that work well. Elf has some really good ones. I have such a mixture of brushes would love to get it down to ten that I will use.

I got a few single dupes from amazon and wasnt impressed-i think my beauty blender does a far superior job imo. (older, dry, sensitive skin w/rosacea) Ordered the 3piece HSN set because so many people said the artis were different. side by side w the dupes-no difference. BB still better side by side w the artis. Sent them back. Did really like the foam cleanser, tho. That's another big negative for me-i wash my sponges after every use-those brushes as so densely packed they really dont recommend you submerge them as the bristles will loosen and shed. For those who love them I'm glad-they were just a miss for me.

I also ordered the 3 piece Artis set from hsn last time it was on and honestly I was super disappointed when they arrived. I was expecting them to actually be metal and weighty but they were lightweight and felt like resin- kind of cheap. My IT brushes are much nicer. I gave them a chance for a week but just didn't like them at all. My beauty blender works much much better for a fraction of the cost. Yes, I realize I have to replace that but I couldn't justify keeping these so I also sent them back.

I have to use clean applicators no matter what kind. What bothers me is when people spend oodles for their brushes and tell everyone that they have them forever. I wouldn't want to have brushes for a long period of time. The dense ones will never truly be clean deep down...just yuk.

I got a dupe off of amazon for like $6. The handle is flimsy, so I just hold onto the top. It feels really good and it spreads the foundation very nicely.

I recently purchased a set of ten from Zulily for $19.99...they got here in just a few days...I like them but I like my BeautyBlender more for foundation....the smaller brushes were great for eyeshadow, blush, hughlighter etc

Here is my experience with this style of brush: About a year ago I ordered the Artis set from the Q. As I recall, I got the oval 4 and 6 and two of the linear brushes and I believe a small round brush for eye shadow and concealer. They were nice but I returned them because I don't use eyeliner and I couldn't find another use for the linear brushes so they were useless to me. I didn't like the small round brush so the only one I really used was the oval 6. It applied foundation nicely but I wasn't blown over.

I then ordered the Cailyn O Wow brush from Amazon. I thought it was nice but I didn't say O Wow. I also ordered a cheaper Missha brush from ebay and I liked it better than the O Wow brush but still not any better than regular makeup brushes.

Just recently, I noticed that Artis makes an oval 7 brush. After watching the videos and reading the reviews, I decided to try it. I've had it for about two weeks and it is absolutely the best brush I've ever used. It's larger than the oval 6 and the size is perfect for foundation, blush and finishing powder. The bristles are densely packed but have more give than the Cailyn and Missha brushes so it buffs foundation perfectly without any brush marks. I've used the oval 7 for both liquid and powder foundations. It has made foundations that I though were just okay make my skin look great. I didn't get this with the knock-off brushes. I didn't purchase the cleaning pads and find I get excellent results by wiping the brush on a clean microfiber towel between products.

This brush is pricey at $60 so it was a big splurge for me but I am so glad I purchased it. It will be great for travel because it takes the place of three brushes for me.

I have the o wow, a full artis set and one of the cheapies from Amazon. I prefer the artis brushes. When using liquids, compared to the artis, more product seeps into the bristles of the o wow and the finish isn't quite as nice. The o wow is a good brush, but not as nice as the artis, IMO. I found the cheapie brush to be really scratchy compared to the other two and I threw it out. I find the oval 6 is the workhorse, I can use it for foundation and it's great for blush. I even use it for eyeshadow if I'm putting a single shade on the entire eye area. I do like the oval 8 for applying primer and setting powder. I'm not crazy about the artis brushes for detail eyeshadow application, but that could because i need more practice.

I have the Cailyn brush and love it. Many beauty bloggers/gurus that own both the Artis and Cailyn, prefer the Cailyn. Its has a tapered end that can slide much better under the eye area. It also comes with a cap that protects the bristles. Just because something costs more doesn't always make it the superior product. MAC actually came out with these type of brushes before Artis did. In fact the brand man guy at Artis is the one who invented them for MAC. It was MACs product before it was Artis so called invention. My one complaint about the Cailyn brush, wish they had a large brush size. So it would cover larger portions of the face. The big advantage of the Artis brush is the various sizes.
