IT cosmetics Jamie

When Jamie from IT cosmetics has the older model on (I forgot her name), she always says "Mary (or whatever her name is) is 72 YEARS YOUNG" I find this patronizing. Maybe I'm just sensitive because I'm getitng older lol!

@Jacie they are both indeed beautiful women. But I don't think IT cosmetics heavy makeup effect helps.

This is one of the reasons I don't watch Jamie. Her helpers are on late at night, I watch them. They don't speed talk either. Or say UM.

I do agree with the OP. As a matter of fact, I was thinking the same thing yesterday when the vendor came to Helen and said something like "She's just so adorable."

Helen is not a child. She's an older woman who does not need such condescension, even though I know it's not intended as such. But all of us have seen that kind of attitude toward older people in which they are talked down to as if they are childlike or even feeble.

I think Jamie is being very complementing to Helen as she is a beautiful woman at 72. I am getting there and it does not bother me at all for her to say that. WHen people tell me I look young for my age I am very happy and I bet Helen is too!

I think saying all that is both condescending and also cheesy. Plus, Helen does that weird old movie star facial thing...like Ginger Grant from Gilligan's Island. I think that is odd.

Imo Helen would look better with less make-up.
Soon 60 rethinking makeup, Never used a lot. But! The last year thought oh better start using makeup. Forget it! Don't like how I look. No matter which brand or primer ends up making me look older. Less is more.

Honestly I do not think either jamie or Helen is gorgeous.....maybe attractive....but gorgeous is stretching it a bit I think.

@birkin baby Thankyou for your honesty. I think people say the nice thing and not what they are really feeling. I think it is cheesy as well.

Helen is getting paid to be the model, and it probably just goes with the job.

She probably just knows it's all part of the gig and doesn't take it too seriously.

Various cosmetic people say this or that about the models. So and so has wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, whatever.

It's just part of the job.

As I read through the thread again, I am thinking that Helen and Jamie are just real people. QVC has not hired magazine models with unrealistic proportions or perfect skin.

Jamie runs a megastar company and Helen, though you may not consider her gorgeous, is gutsy enough to get out there and model in front of live TV and all of us super critics!

Bravo to both of them, I can pretty much see that none of us are on the screen!
