Hello, and may I say Welcome to the boards!

I have very sensitive skin and can use but only 3 products.

I had been using all Philosophy products for about 9+ months, then my skin began to be tight and dry. I was buying the 32oz duos in cleanser and the microdelivery beads.
After using [ beads], I had to discontinue using.
Later, I discontinue the cleanser. Great though for cleaning brushes!
These were the originals before SOLD to ( I believe) aJapanese Co.
I thought the original products had a very slight scent, but not perfume strong.

Since, from that time, I have never been interested in trying IT - even from this new company.
" Just can Not use"!

I have a very close friend who has normal- to dry skin and uses nothing else, so it really depends on one's chemistry.
Find a product line and stay with it, hoping that its formula will not be sold or that its ingredients can stay the same. Actually, I can use nothing from this country ` that preaches` made in USA.
I hope this helps in many decisions while you find what works or is compatible for you.

Please, please, @Francis t read the reviews on Beautypedia.com (Paula's Choice.com) before you purchase Philosophy Anything! I didn't follow my own advice and fell for the Mega sized Hope in A Jar duo at $130.00 . Then, I read the reviews and found that the formula is nothing like the original and neither ever had the lactic acid they claimed as the active ingredient. The chemical they use is an emuslfier that sounds iike lactic acid but isn't. But I watched the presentations and the claims they made were dishonest at best, deception in my mind.

the reviews for Hope In a Jar, Renewed Hope In a Jar are 2 of 4 stars. Hardly the groundbreaking skin loving products they claim to sell, nothing a plastic surgeon would subject her patients' skin to. If they will blatantly misrepresent this simple product how can we believe anything else they say?

I loved the two phase vit C peel but learned that it is nothing more than a bicarbonate side show and you can create the same effects with baking soda from your own kitchen,

I tend to agree with the many posters here who believe a company's sale almost inevitability leads to decreased product integrity.

I have sensitive skin and used Philosophy skincare for years. It wasn't until I stopped that I realized how "angry" it made my facial skin. I still use (almost exclusively their bath and body products, but for face, use mostly Paula's Choice.

@Rachb...me, too! It took me 9 years to admit it before I stopped. Like you, I do still use and love the bath and body products. I switched to Peter Thomas Roth for my face, except for cleanser. His cleansers burn the heck out of my yes. I use WEN 613 as my facial cleanser.

@SurferWife PTR gentle foaming cleanser is rated 4 of 4 stars by Paula's Choice Beautypedia's. It doesn't sting or irritate your eyes and works as well or better than Purity. You're right about the Anti- Aging cleanser, burns you eyes right out of your face lol. PTR glycolic cleanser is good too. As for treatment products, his masques, retinol serum and 10 percent glycolic moisturizer are top notch!

@CoG...thanks for the info about the gentle foaming cleanser! I am. PTR mask-a-holic! His Irish Moore mud mask is my #1 favorite, and I us several others, too. As far as regime, I use his Camu-Camu line...fabulous!!
