What's up w/ EVINE's shipping charges?

geesh!

You order 3 things and you've spent three weeks worth of dog food in shipping charges!

At least Dimitri gives you a break when he has specials.

I agree, their shipping is outrageous. Especially on jewelry at $6.99 for a little ring that you could send with box for $2, tops. Something would have to be ultra attractive to get me to buy and that doesn't include Dimitri's stuff.

Agree! I buy the One World tops and dresses, they ship two in a mailing envelope in my mailbox, not even UPS and they charge full shipping for each!

I'm a longtime evine customer. I agree that sometimes the shipping charges are too high, especially when one is stuck with return shipping due to mistakes in their presentations, online measurements and not giving the best advice on fit of clothing and shoes.

I do take shipping costs into consideration with every purchase. Sometimes I will not buy an item because of that. Sometimes I justify the shipping charges if the item is a very good price.

All things considered, I order from evine and amazon more than anywhere else.

I like Evine and order from them quite a bit, but you definitely need to factor the shipping costs. Sometimes, S&H is almost as much as the price of the item! Don't you wish the shopping channels would be like many other retailers and offer free shipping after $50 or $100?

Exactly! 4 items in cart = $24.oo S&H ..Ridiculous!!! Makes me want to forget it!

Nope, not missing a thing. All this whining when HSN regularly charges over $7 for a single item to ship!!!!

$4.99 hurts a lot less...to me anyway...and clearance or sales are generally $2.99.

As someone else stated I too factor it in to the cost of the item. I'm still getting a great deal even with the S & H!

Perhaps I'm geographically gifted but I usually get my orders very quickly (3 or 4 days)

Just calculate your own time, gas and effort. You might discover that you are worth the shipping costs.

You can always shop elsewhere.

It costs money to shop, on-line or brick and mortar!

I only order from Evine when they are offering free shipping or have a coupon code or $10 off with use of their CC. I refuse to pay their usual shipping fee.

Evine's shipping is a lot worse than QVC and HSN. At least QVC only charges $3.00 for shipping clothing. Evine is a minimum of $4.99 and there are times it's higher than that. I paid $6.99 for s/h on some clothing. The watches are especially offensive. The other day I wanted to order a clothing item on clearance and the s/h was $4.99 and the top wasn't much more than that. Evine doesn't give you a break for ordering at one time either. During a fashion event I had a number of items in my cart. The s/h was $28.00 because I was being charged separate s/h for each item. Needless to say, I deleted everything from my cart and bought nothing.

HSN comes in second. At least they often offer free s/h but some of the clothing items have nearly $8.00 s/h. And even though they give half off s/h on every order after the first, it still add up to way too much s/h. They also now charge $7.95 and up for their return label and will only credit you $5.00 (if you use their charge) I believe 4 times in a year period.

I'm also guessing it's only a matter of time before HSN no longer refunds s/h. They are the only one that refunds it now.

I agree their shipping is high but I will say I always get my order within 5 days of ordering, not counting Sunday obviously. I order Saturday or Sunday (when Dimitiri is on) and have my stuff Friday. It takes about 9-11 days to receive my QVC items although their shipping is cheaper if not free. I guess it's a trade off.
