I use MAC Studio Fix (not the Plus) to cover up redness on my skin, I don't use it as an overall foundation though I did years ago. I prefer liquid foundations over any and all powders, but for covering redness and touching up/blotting oil during the day it's great. I also use it to set foundation on my t-Zone.

Years ago I used MAC powder foundation but moved on to something else. I try foundation after foundation trying to find something I love. Typically, I find a texture/result I like, but can't get a perfect color match, or vice versa. After doing some late night reading last night, I've decided to try MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Has anyone tried it? Or have you used any other MAC foundations that you like? I'm always up for trying anything so I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The Studio Fix Powder is really nice & you can most certainly find a color match there. They also have some new liquid foundations. Talk to one of the SAs & maybe take home a couple of samples to try that you think may work for your skin type.

It is a "face and body" foundation. Actually, someone on makeup Alley also advised that she keeps it on hand to mix with other foundations in order to lighten them.

This would be good except as I mentioned, whatever is in them, the MAC foundations break me out. They discontinued my only fav shade NW10.

The white had to be ordered by me out of their more exclusive store at Northpark in Dallas.

@LTT1 very interesting. Thank you for the info! I went to Macy's today and was color matched to nc15. It seems like a really good match. I bought the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, Prep and Prime Fix+, and a pinwheel. The pinwheel is 4 colors that I can use in place of blush or as a finishing powder. It gives my fair skin a really nice glow. I'll wear the foundation for a week and see how it goes.

Studio Fix Powder Foundation is a HG for me. I wear it most of the time... I mostly apply with a damp Beauty Blender but sometimes with a brush.

I am NW22.... and it is an absolute perfect color match. I have extremely sensitive skin and it causes me no problems.

I do have to touch up during the day at least once. I have combo skin with an oily tzone.

No other powder foundation works as well for me. I have tried them and always come back to Studio Fix.

For a difficult to match skintone you can't do much better than M.A..C. for shade range. There's a shade for those whose coloring is as white as Pillsbury flour-- to dark as maple syrup and black coffee. There are a few brands with broad foundation color ranges, but M.A.C.'s is stil the most extensive.

Studio Fix is a good powder foundation. There was a period in the 1990's when it was my go to foundation. The last time I tried it the formula felt different, but most long runnning cosmetics are tweaked through the years. I know someone who does makeup on live broadcasts for one of the major networks and she loves Studio Fix (particularly on men). M.A.C. does have other formulas, so if you find that Fix isn't quite what you wanted one of the other formulas could be it.
