I highly reccommend the Anastasia tweezers. They are a litlle high priced, but are excellent for very fine hairs and they do last. Three years so far and still good. I passed on tweezerman because I knew I would never bother to send them in for re-sharpening.

Ladies, who has a shout out on a good pair of tweezers that doesn't cost a small fortune and lasts longer than 2 months? Tired of my drawerful of Tweezerman's that won't grip anything.

dee

Have you ever sent your Tweezermans in to be sharpened? It's free and easy if they worked for you when they were new, although I have to say that mine stay sharp for much longer than two months.

I have the angled Lacross brand that are about 3 years old. They have little red pads for where you squeeze them together. They work great but once in awhile they don't grasp whatever it is I'm trying to pluck so I take my little pair of scissors and while holding the tweezer ends under hot running water scrape the ends of the tweezers a couple of times with the open scissors and that does the trick. Something unknown and that I sometimes can see but can't scrape off with my fingernail and other times I can't see at all with the naked eye adheres itself to the ends of them keeping them from closing 100%. I have no idea how it happens that some little weeny thing that sometimes I can't even see gets stuck on the ends but it does.

I bought several different styles of Mark V tweezers. They are the best. I have a pair in all my travel bags - I bought a few when they would go on sale. So I would always have a pair handy.

I am pretty sure QVC also sold them - not sure if they still do. But buying directly from Mark V, I had more of a selection.

PS - I had a pair of Tweezerman sharpened. I dropped the Tweezerman tweezers on a carpeted floor and the tip was bent. So I was charged to have the tweezers sharpened. But I was shocked how easily the tip was bent.
