It may @HappyDaze. Who knows? I am just saying this because this is too often happens when they have same products in kits. Like the Hair Care set last visit was a good deal for the three items, but these same individual items were at their full price with full cost shipping...... I know, I know. Bummer!

Manuela and Evine do put individual items on special deals during the show sometimes, but it's hard to know what's their patterns are.... They usually to their price "tricks" with kits. We all know - of course there are much better deals in buying in kits.

Maybe not for you, but others who might be interested, the Matrixyl 20% serum can be added to any facial or body cream and greatly enhance it via adding precious Matrixyl in high potency!

The Matrixyl Face Cream is simply WONDERFUL! This is my favorite face cream - the feel, the consistency, and very very gentle pleasant aroma - I love it! Unfortunately, I need to use more potent creams to get better results, but for the younger women and those who use more than one cream, it is a great facial cream, for sure.

@sonechko - thx for posting the ISOMERS update.

Can someone please provide some input? I know Manuela uses Fast Lift Eye Serum as a routine daily treatment, as do I and many others.

Who would be the best candidate for this alternate eye duo? Does anyone use this instead of FLES & why? Does anyone use this duo plus FLES? I'm not interested in adding more products/steps into my regime, lol. Appreciate any info/recommendation!

@Chi-town girl! I've heard Manuela for years say, she uses Fast Eye Lift. I also heard her say - she is using Mesmer-Eyez. First is a Serum, and Mesmer-Eyez - is an eye Cream.

I also know, Manuela uses Immortal, but again, who among Isomers' users is not? Immortal in this eye-treatment duo is the same Immortal as the one for the entire face and neck.

These two in a kit are very nice latest products, both of them. I am on A/D from past showing of this kit, and about to receive, another one.

Don't know @Chisos. Maybe when they load up the shows with products, if it is among them, it may be the case. So far it does not show too many products on show schedules. I'll let you know if I see this System posted.

I got that Discovery kit last time she was on. I will finish it up but I have not been impressed with any of it. Nothing seems hydrating at all. The eye peel does nothing, the lip serum nada, don;t even know what the Copper P is for so haven't used it.

I've been using the matrixyl product and the other one for line expression and again haven't seen one positive change. When they are on and present clinicals, I often see them showing how a high percentage of women noticed immediate improvements or within a week or still hydrated 24 hours later. I have had no luck at all with these products.

And since Dimitri changed the 24 hour YPC, I am stuck with no real hydrating product for dry skin. I may just end up going to the drugstore and buying Cerave or something like that. I will still continue to use the Acure argan oil as that seems to be the only serum that helps dry skin.

I am sorry, @60sgirl that you are not satisfied so far with using Isomers from this Discovery Kit.

These small bottles, though each is a wonderful product, but there is nothing in this kit specifically for super hydration.

Again, the time frame for using any new product from the time you've purchased it to the time to show any results, seems to be quite short! No line has bottled miracles, that reverse sings of age and prolonged damage in a few days, as of yet!

The results do show over time with diligent use and specifically results are better when skin is well exfoliated, clean and ready to receive products effectively! Skin needs to have great PH balance to start with.

The results individually vary in time from individual to individual. It did probably take years for your skin to get to this super dry stage from what it had been in youth. A few days/weeks certainly is too soon to reverse this. It has to be truly a miracle to change anything drastically in such short period of time.

I do not know what Matrixyl products you are using, and what age you are, but Matrixyl cream is great for the first signs of aging, for small lines and wrinkles, and they are not promoted as "super hydrating" either. Matrixyl serum is great to add to your serums, or into the creams you are using.

Again, I do not know your age, but you've mentioned you are in need for "real hydrating product for dry skin". My suggestion is to check with "Recommended Products Routine for each AGE category on Isomers. ca site, or give Isomers support team a call or send e-mail, asking for assistance with recommendation for your specific age/skin needs.

Wish you best of luck with finding the best products for you in any line you choose, so your skin is balanced and happy, just like mine is by now!

p,s. I at first too did not "dig" the lip serum, but now - I can't be without it! It had changed my lips drastically. My lips are plump, "turned out" and not "in", have great feel, and I even have a contour line, just like I'd use a lip liner! I use this lip serum at least twice - morning and night, and if I have it near by, I add some on during the day. Love it!

thank you for the reply. I do know that it is hard to see any real changes in a span of 3-4 weeks but again it is often on these very shows that people in the clinical trials report seeing immediate improvement.

For me, I just want to put a product on my face that instantly leaves my skin dewy and looking hydrated. I probably should have tried the Active Argan products recently on, while some people thought the vendor looked greasy, I thought she looked dewy and refreshed but the line is pricey. I also have tried Bobbi Brown intense hydrating balms and like them, but they are so expensive. I want 2-3 things to use every day that give my skin that fresh, dewy look. I will try your recommendationj on the Isomers site.

I want to post this "essay" from Manuela (Isomers) on her outlook what HYDRATION for skin means in her (and mine) view. I am posting this not at all, as "Isomers vs. Skinn", but generally speaking, about the difference in approach between ANY of so popular now, oil based products for hydration and even pure oils, and in this case, Isomers approach to hydration.

Isomers does not leave skin "dewy" looking only because you seeing this oily shine on the face, but it does change the QUALITY of skin overtime, so it is more moist and well hydrated over time - because skin gains a different PH balance altogether. Well here it is - you make your own conclusion from this text.

Here is post from not too long ago that I thought was helpful:

Dimitri's big selling point is that he doesn't use water in his products and he maintains that his products are better than competitors due to that fact. Manuela from Isomers does NOT share his belief about water in skin care formulations at all!
Isomers believes our skin performs best if we use hydrous products, and you will find water listed first in (most) of their ingredient decks. Below is a response from Manuela on the Isomers forum defining the difference between anhydrous (Skinn) and hydrous (Isomers) formulations.

Hi Everyone,
We have received several email questions regarding anhydrous formulations. We hope this information is helpful:

To "hydrate" means to bring water to an area. When the skin is dry, it requires water and skin identical lipids. For cells to be healthy and transport nutrients and eliminate toxins, they also require water. Water is the universal solvent of our cells and body and is what our bodies and cells need to survive.

"Anhydrous" means without water or the absence of water. By definition this type of system cannot hydrate, cannot solve dryness. What it can do is make a wax or oil-like film and prevent water and air from getting out or in. Much like plastic film wrap that is used to keep a sandwich fresh. However unlike a sandwich, our skin is alive and requires water and air to be healthy. Petroleum jelly (Vaseline) is anhydrous and can be used as an occlusive barrier on the skin but it won't soften or remedy dryness in the cells.

What we have found, is that anhydrous formulations provide an "occlusive" barrier which results in an artificial sweating and swelling of the top skin layer giving the appearance of filling in fine lines. This is great for a temporary cosmetic effect and that is why in foundations or eye concealers this type of silicon or anhydrous system is used. In treatment, the story and ingredients need to be different. If you want to solve dryness and support the skin, then a system that works with liquids in a hydrating format should provide better long term and immediate results.

So depending on what you need from your skin this helps determine the system and type of formula.

I guess the reason people are drawn to anhydrous products is because that most of us know that the percentage of ingredients in a product go from most to least so that seeing water as a first ingredient would make one think that the jar is filled mostly with water and then other ingredients are added. Conversely seeing something like argan or grapeseed oil first leads you to think it is not a jar filled with water (making it chaper to make).

I do see both sides of this and certainly am not a chemist. But I think I recall either reading or seeing something a long time ago that was about taking a bath. You are sitting in water, thinking the bath water would be absorbed into your skin and so making it feel hydrated. But instead, you get out of the water and you skin has "shrunk" wrinkled, like when you go swimming in a lake for instance. Instead of feeling plump, you feel shriveled. So the theory of putting water on the skin to hydrate it would not be supported by this illustration.

Unless, the water based product also had hyaluronic acid in a good percentage to bind the water to the skin.

I will continue to do research and enjoy your discussion on this.

I started using isomers (and skinn) about a year ago. I tried pretty much everything isomers offered and it took me a while to figure out what worked for my over 50 sensitive skin. The usage guide on the isomers website helped me to form a base routine and then I figured out what other products helped and added those in. Now I tweak my routine as needed.

For me, the fast eye lift and the glutathiasome serums are must-haves. The super serum gave me little red bumps and the immortal serum did not seem to do anything for me. I also like the H pur and R pur products, although R pur is on the pricy side.

With Skinn, I mostly used the DWP products and alternated them at night with isomers. In the end, the isomers products worked better for me, although I still use Dimitri's chin-up and 6x lip serum. I think everyone's skin is different and it's a trial and error process. Then once you think you have it figured out, the seasons change or your hormones change and you have to make adjustments.

@60sgirl I don't know if you've tried the h pur 100 advanced serum from isomers, but that really helped to hydrate my skin. It can either be used as a serum or mixed with a moisturizer for a booster. It will be offered during their visit next week. The item # is 300-305.

I so agree @Linmo with ALL of your points! Well said, it is a personal journey with a little help from the "experts" like Manuela, or Dimitri or others to find a RIGHT set of EFFECTIVE products SPECIFICALLY for your skin needs, and of course - age!

The h pur 100 advanced serum, am seeing being scheduled already among so far only few products already visible for these shows. Probably, there will be some "deal" on this hopefully. I still have a large bottle of it and add it occasionally with serums, or creams. But I don't have to now, because my skin is well balanced in PH and hydration levels.

Both, the Super Skin serum and Immortal work great for my skin, and especially since I started to use Immortal more often and more liberally, thanks to the last TTV with 1.86 oz. bottle. I even got two of them on A/D. I love it this much!

Great, @60sgirl! Well, for me this subject of oil vs. water based for the purpose of the HYDRATION is absolutely clear by definition - Hydration means presense of Water.

I also believe Water to be the most important, life giving substance on Earth and beyond! Organic Life is only possible in a presence of Water. It also transmits the nutrients in between cells, and I've read - it even transmits Information!

On the lighter note of this discussion, I even prefer canned tuna in water vs. in oil filled jars! It tastes better to me.

I heard Dr. Denese give a similar speech on PBS. Makes sense. Water solubility means it has a chance of penetration..Dimitri uses plenty of things that sound great but are actually irritating to your skin. And just because something is natural doesn't mean it's necessarily good for you..

I have ordered some Isomers in the past and did not like what I considered the lack of results.
I ordered the Discovery Kit last time Isomers presented and do really like these serums. I am spot applying them according to the skin issue that they address. I can see a difference when I use them with my other products. I wish I had purchased several of the Discovery Kits but at the time I primarily bought it for the K serum and didn't know I would like all of them.

I so agree with you, @Andreatoo! If we want to "hydrate" our dry skin, what do we actually mean under this word? What do we want our skin to receive?

Just by definition of the word, technically speaking,

hy·drate - To supply water to in order to restore or maintain fluid balance. Hydration according to Wikipedia.

Hydrate, a term used to indicate that a substance contains water

Hydration from Dictionary.com -

verb (used with or without object), hydrated, hydrating.

2. to combine chemically with water.

THIS is what "to hydrate" (your skin) means. If we talking about using oils, as wonderful as they may be - by definition they are not being used for a purpose of hydration, i.e, adding water, but rather maybe "sealing", "coating" "nourishing", "supplying minerals", etc. Not specifically "hydrating".

So the skin "hydrated" with oil, may look "moist and dewy", but not really hydrated at all. When we are thirsty we drink water, not oils. Skin too gets "thirsty". Young skin has a high water content in it's cells, older skin - not so much.

Just my two cents.
