PRIMER WITH SPF ???????

Can anyone recommend a primer with spf? I would like to save a step with my morning make up! Thanks!

I use Dr. Denese day cream which is a moisturizer, spf and light foundatio base for me. I'll swipe some Balance and Brighton over it on days when I'm having "issues ' and my mascara and I can get out the door. On days when I have a little more time, I just add a little bit of dream cream or argan oil in the day cream and apply more of my traditional makeup. I wish I had discovered this item when I had to be in the office for those early am meetings.

I have had lots of skin cancers and must use a sunblock winter and summer. I think most dermatologists say you must use a sunscreen in addition to any in primers or makeup. The latter just don't offer enough protection.

Missha BB Boomer. Nice stuff and more of a lotion texture so it's not greasy. One pump is plenty for the entire face. I use it when I'm wearing either BB cream or just a powdered foundation. It also has crushed pink pearl powder that gives a pretty brightening effect. I jumped around trying assorted primers, but once I found this one I stopped shopping.

You can't just rely on a primer with SPF for sunscreen protection. You would have to use more than normal of the primer and then your face would be greasy. Don't take a chance with getting skin cancer. Even if my foundation says it has SPF I always use a moisturizer with sunscreen.

I love Bare Minerals tinted primer with SPF 30. I have Combo skin with oily t zone and it goes on matte and stays matte all day. There are at least 3 shades to choose from.

I have oily skin , so I really like Coola Spf matte finish sunscreen . i use it as my primer . It is a mineral based suncreen . It has a matte finish and has anti-oxidants in it . I find it works beautifully under both mineral powder foundations as well as liquid ones

@marmarbrooklyn I thought this product would make a good primer too! It has the same feel on the skin as most primers but the good thing about it is is a true sunscreen so you get real protection from it, unlike most traditional primers.

At 52 I still have oily acne prone skin .Over the years I have had trouble finding a good suncreen that did not break me out , primers while they look good always clogged my pores . Coola is perfectbecause it is a sunscreen , yet has they smooth finish like a primer . It also contains anti-oxidants too

Agree @Zita Ty for posting. AND also one must use enough.

I see people on some of Q's shows and on HSN and they use a dab..it has to be enough and the best is mineral sunblock with zinc a % of 7% or higher.

I use a few but so thrilled about s bought a new one that was on sale at dermstore by Epionce a line I'm not familar with but good reviews and it doesn't leave a masky white face. Love it! I add a hydrating primer and over that since my skin is dry. My foundation looks just right! I also liek supergoop mineral type - but it lends a bit more of a cast. still a good one! Epionce was very good price $21.00 for a 2.oz. tube on sale .

Well, I've had really good luck with Exuviance Sheer Daily Protector SPF 50 PA++++ and I find I don't need to use a primer, it sort of acts like a primer plus SPF as it has a little bit of dimethicone in it. Works well under powder and liquid foundations. This is a mineral sunscreen.

Dries down to a matte finish, doesn't have all the oils that the Coola SPF does, has antioxidants in the formulation and even Paula's Choice gave it five stars! It does have a neutral tint to it, neither too pink nor too yellow, so there's no obvious white cast. I have a neutral light-medium skin tone so the tint works well for me.

I also have an oily t-zone and haven't had any break-outs or irritation from it. It has a liquid consistency and you need to vigorously shake the bottle before applying. Doesn't have a heavy, silicony feel to it like the Dr. Denese day cream (that cream is like a tinted primer with SPF, she was ahead of her time with that product). The downside to the Dr. Denese cream is that it's too dark for my light-medium skin tone but it would work well for those with warm medium skin tone.

I don't mind if it's balanced with 2 chemical types, no probs with that..most zinc types (best) have one or we would look like a clown face lol.

It's thinner and more hydrating to me then others samples. I'm liking under makeup much more then my Josie Maran's SPF and the liking it s over my beloved Supergoop Mineral SS, 2nd in line JM's 3rd now..but very hydrating/oily which is good for me some days.

This is 50 and a no show under my makeup -so thumbs up!.

I'm glad it has no nano's too. Not good. Are you using this? this line is all new to me... this was a hit or miss as dermstore w/a had a 20% off sale, I will keep using my others, love to switch things up - I have zero melanin so help me it's a PITA arghhh :/

I have oily sensitive skin. Every sunscreen I've ever used has broken me out and irritated my eyes. Besides, if you'll notice that on every SPF product, whether it's foundation, primer, or moisturizer, states on the label that in order to be effective, you need to reapply it every 2 hours. I'm lazy and don't want to wash my face and totally reapply makeup every 2 hours.

Years ago I found a loose finishing powder that comes in a tube with a brush on one end that is SPF 30. I carry it in my purse. ColorScience Sunforgettable water resistant powder sunscreen (active ingredients: Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Ozide) Expensive but lasts forever.

And for primers? I recommend Avon's Magix SPF 20. $11.00

@virgosun, most dermatologists recommend more sunscreen than you would use of a primer. I believe a teaspoon of sunscreen is to cover your face and neck. So I don't get these companies that put sunscreen in their makeup. It won't give you enough protection. No one is going to use a teaspoon of primer or foundation. It does sound like a crazy amount but I would rather be safe.
