Question about Philosophy Micro scrub...??

I asked about a good morning cleanser that exfioliates the dead flakes. Many have recommended Phil.Micro derm cleanser. So I looked into it, and there are reviews both here and on Sephora that the little scrub beads have disappeared from the product, making it useless. Some said they did everything and tried shaking it up, but seems they dissolved. Anyone buy one recently, and agree with this?

I'm coming to the end of an 8 oz bottle and it still has the scrubby stuff in it. I do shake it before squirting some out each time I use it. I don't know what causes some to lose their scrubby stuff but as a precaution I don't leave it in the shower (in case it might be from the heat and moisture) and I don't buy the bottle larger than 8 oz (in case they dissolve over time). Don't know if those things make a difference but I haven't experienced them dissolving.

I have used Philosophy's MicroDelivery Wash since Cristina Carlino introduced it several years ago. I still use it today and really love it as a daily exfoliating wash. Now that the positive has been stated, I agree with the posters who find the product goes watery and the beads disappear too quickly. My personal experience has been that this issue seems to occur mostly with the 32oz supersize. To experiment this theory I have purchased 16oz bottles and the product retains the expected texture and efficacy very well to the the last drop in the bottle. The unfortunate aspect of this is I no longer buy the money-saving supersize. From my viewpoint if the product isn't as good halfway through the bottle I'm wasting -- not saving-- money.

I am a long time user and have never had this problem. I've read about it here, though, so knowing that it happens, I do this: when I use the super sized 32oz, I don't use the pump; I shake well, always, and transfer the product to a smaller bottle. I've had 8 oz and 16 oz too. I've always had good texture to the end. I use it in the am. I highly recommend.

I've never tried it. I do use Philosophy's Sea Salt Scrub. I like it a lot.

Maybe some time I'll try it, but for now I still have a lot of the other left. I'll bet they stop making my favorite. It always happens.

I useed the Phil MS cleanswer for years and I had varying results - sometimes the beads would last the whole bottle, sometimes not - I never knew. For that reason, I've stopped using it even though I liked this product. Besides, aren't those beads the ones that are clogging our water and are being outlawed?

No, not anymore. They removed the plastic beads awhile back. I am wondering if this formula change is the difference in the "beads" disappearing now. Obviously, plastic lasts indefinitely so would always be present but whatever they are using in its' place probably breaks down after awhile, hence the reason they disappear.

I have a 32 oz bottle from last TSV and still has the beads 1/2 down still working same !

You may need to occasionally give the bottle a shake... I opened a new bottle about a month ago and haven;t had any issues. In the past I have needed to give it a shake every now and then. Love this scrub.

I've also used this since it first came out years ago and fortunately for me I've never had one lose its "scrubbies". I've purchased it in about every size/configuration it comes in over the years and they have all been the same. It's my daily morning cleanser.

I use this almost daily as well and am very pleased with product, however, I always keep in a small bottle, shake well, unscrew the lid and pour in to my hand. Using this method has always kept the product consistent in formula for me.

When I was little (long ago...) my mother used to occasionally scrub me in the tub with something that I thought was magical! Left my skin so soft and smoothe. Later on I learned that the magic formula she used was salt and baby oil! So simple to make, and you can use sugar and coconut oil, etc. no need to pay big bucks for harmful poly beads that are going away anyway by law 😌
