I don't wear scent that way either. I put a scent on in the morning and if I'm going out that night, I will freshen it up by either spritzing more scent on or adding some body lotion plus some spritzing.

Short of taking a shower and starting over again, I don't know how you get your old fragrance off.

I know the Philosophy vendors have said you can layer their fragrances but they do mix and you get the blend of them together.

So I'm watching the NEST presentation and she always talks about in the daytime she wears this and then in the evenings she puts on this other one and then going to work she will wear this one, etc. I've never heard anyone wear fragrance like that so my questions are- how do you remove the previous scent before you apply the other one? Or do you layer it over the previous one? And, if the latter, wouldn't that change the scent of the one you are just applying? Do alot of people wear fragrance like this or do most just apply one scent for the whole day?

Maybe that's why she always goes on about her alone time in her bathtub before they go out for dinner.

I use two scents in a day -- one in the morning and one after I bathe or shower at night. Sometimes I do actually layer.

I don't know about anyone else, but I tend to favor scents that are similar in their undertone. Cold weather means warm, spicy scents and for the most part if I were to layer them, they would smell great.

Warm weather means either an ocean/Mediterranean scent or something with a citrus undertone. Again, they would layer without issue.

Beyond that, don't know what people do if the scent are completely opposite of each other.

I have layered Amazing Grace and Pure Grace as well as Tova Signature and Tova Summer. Wear them alone too.

Beyond those, no. I have been known to buy the Light versions of a fragrance along with the full version. Shalimar and Shalimar Light for example. I can use the light version all year round.

Too much to remove a fragrance and apply another for me! And I am reminded that the Nest Vendor lives in a world of fragrance, she is from the Slatkin family. Candles, Room Fresheners and Perfume. I would think I might get hives!!!

I don't layer colognes. Most often, whatever I've chosen to wear in the morning gets refreshed with another couple of spritzes if I'm going out at night and not rebathing. If I really, really want a different scent at night and I'm not rebathing, I'll wash my neck and arms at the sink since I'm probably already washing my face and décolleté anyway in advance if applying new makeup for the evening.

You can't remove a fragrance from your skin, hair, and clothing like you remove makeup so I'm guessing that the vendor is layering compatible fragrances on top of one another.

Interesting feedback, thanks everyone! I was wondering if I was the only one who never changed their fragrance throughout the day, lol. Maybe that is only something someone in the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous do, lol. I mean, I can understand if you were wearing something during the day and then going out on a date and took a shower and wanted something different. That is totally understandable.

Recently my niece wanted to know what was the perfume I use. Asked her why she wanted to know because there are so few bottles left since the scent was discontinued many years ago. It turns out that since I apply my scent at my makeup nook in the walk-in closet, everything in the closet is lightly scented !!!!

So, when I send her things from my closet, she knows it is from me automatically !

To answer the original poster's question: I keep the same scent year round (NE) but recently switched to Jimmy Choo perfume as I am using the FENDI Theorema very sparingly.

I only own one fragrance so I guess I won't be layering any. I am assuming you could layer similar scents. My body lotions and washes are all unscented or very mildy scented. I am very sensitive to odors and some trigger an asthma attack so the whole idea of having a fragrance wardrobe or layering scents is totally foreign to me.

No, I don't change my fragrance during the day. In fact, I will refresh and keep wearing it.

I tend to stay with one fragrance. In fact, I go through phases where I tend to "favor" a fragrance for awhile, and that is the only one that I wear. Then, I will switch off and wear something else for awhile, and so on.
