topic Retin A Question in Beauty

Feel kind of silly asking this since I've been on the board so much but what is Retin A? How is it used? Who should use it? Where do you buy it? Do you buy it on it's own or is it in a moisturizer? I don't think I've seen it before. Either that or I'm not paying attention when I'm shopping - which could very well be the cae. LOL TIA
