Follow up review for Primal Pit Paste

I reviewed this Primal Pit paste regular in lavender. I said it worked so great...nervous sweat, exercise sweat...absolutely no odor. However after two weeks my armpits starting itching and got red. I talked to customer service and they sent me samples of the unscented regular and the light version with less baking soda. So far the light with less baking soda is better for the itching. However the odor control is not as good. I have always wanted a natural deoderant that worked and thought this was the answer but I may not be able to tolerate the baking soda. I am going to try to continue with this low baking soda one and see if I can work into the regular eventually. If anyone is inclined to try it, I would recommend sampling it first.

@chiclet thank you for the follow up. It is always appreciated when people who rave or recommend something but then later have issues with it or stop using it updates everyone. I am sorry you started getting itching. What a bummer.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. I've tried 4 different natural deodorants, including Primal Pit Paste, and all of them give me a reaction. Because none of them control wetness, I get a rash from the uncontrolled moisture. It takes 5-10 days to show up, so I sometimes use a natural deodorant if I shower at night and then an antiperspirant in the morning. The Primal Pit Paste in Coconut Lime is my favorite when I do use one. Tom's of Maine makes a good one in Lemongrass, too.

I do love the Primal Whip and Primal Whip Sticks and lip balm. The Whip Sticks are fantastic to use on my feet and keep my heels in good shape. They are not in stock right now, but customer services tells me they will come back in March and I will stock up then.
