Thank you to poster who mentioned using Mally's shimmering taupe eyeshadow wet!

I have had her powder shimmering taupe eyeshadow for forever and just never really liked it-kind of a boring shade. Anyway, recently a poster mentioned one of her favorite eyeshadows was Mally's shimmering taupe applied wet and I thought, hmm, I need to give that a try. It.is. beautiful! I just wanted to thank the poster-wish I could find the post-because it is nice to be able to finally use the shadow and it really makes my green hazel eyes stand out. Pretty!

It wasn't me who recommended that, but I've tried that and it's made a big difference with the color payoff in a lot of my shuttle e/s's. I usually just spray my brush with MAC's Fix Plus. I will also spray my brush with Fix Plus if I am using my brush to apply foundation instead of my Beauty Blender. @HappyDaze - Did you order any new e/s from Makeup Geek? I just spent most of the morn going through my makeup and donating it to my boyfriend's granddaughter. It's feels good to do that. I have the Mally shadow stick in Taupe and it's beautiful and so pigmented! I love it!

@mimi5775 It may be retired. I've had it for a while now. Prob too long, but I don't want to get rid of it yet. I think it was one of her best colors! Is Mally not doing shadow sticks anymore?

It's me, one of the green-hazel girls from the Skinn thread - yet another eye make-up item we have in common! Although, mine is the stick, not the powder. A great color in any case!

@HappyDaze I have been meaning to get back to you on Mally's newest eye palette. I really liked it! I have finally tried every eye look--Mally showed it as three quads in her presentation, but the back of the box showed an additional way of pairs, which I did. I liked them all. They did Ok without primer, but didn't last all day which for me is typical of any eyeshadow (except Laura's Color Intense last longer without primer). They do have a lot of shimmer except the few matte shades. I was surprised how much I liked the violet, I do nudes the most but I like the variety this palette has. We're you tempted to get it?

@wvumountiefanI am starting to do wet shadows more often too, it is fun to mix them up. Thank you for sharing your good tips! Regarding the MG shadows, I have not ordered yet but have my list ready to go. Does she ever do any sales? I plan on ordering in a bit though. I am excited to try them, they looks so pretty and the ones I picked up are ones I don't have anything similar already, very unique colors.

@IMissSuperPoke thank you for your feedback on the palette! Sounds like it is a good buy for you! I still have not watched the video on it and haven't seen it presented yet. I am hoping there will be some swatches online soon (haven't checked in awhile so maybe there already is?). I will decide once I watch the presentation. I just am not sure if I don't already have similar shades in the palette in order to justify buying it, lol! Thanks again for getting back to me on it. Oh yeah, one question, shimmer is fine with me but any issues with fallout from them? THAT is something that I cannot tolerate.

Oh, no, sorry not to be more specific! I just use the stick shadow as it comes - shouldn't think it would work to wet it, but now I may try, just for grins! I'll let you know if it works!

@HappyDaze I *think* it's you lol....I didn't know she had a single taupe shadow.. curious now. I do have her older Tribeca Taupe pallete..and her other older palettes. Not much else. A girl can't too many taupe shadows IMO as they vary so much. Some more brown like milk chocolate some too gray or deep. Where is this shadow? If you see this just put my name in to alert me if you would. Oh I see I looked down and see it was @IMissSuperPoke who said she had an older one retired one perhaps. So question is answered. I do notice as they show on ships dampening certainly changes the shadow ...it makes it last longer I feel. @mimi5775 yes, it is a duo with her base and shimmering Taupe:

When I put it on without wetting it, it just looked kind of blah and muddy but when I applied it wet, it looked pretty- like a silvery, purlpe-y taupe, but not a reddish purple. VERY pretty!

@HappyDaze ahh okay I do recall this-the duos...lovely shade! it's kinda like her palettes (they are teal in color on the outside) maybe the taupe in this pic in it is this one in Tribeca Taupe? I wonder how she's doing in her business....seems so small and many changes but many great ideas! I wish her the best.

Yes, shimmering taupe is one of the taupes in Tribeca kit. I love the shimmering taupe. I use it over her taupe shadow stick and sometimes the maybelline color tattoo in taupe. I love the look.

@natalya oh good, TY...I will try it this today. Wonder if she's stopping these oldie but goodie palettes? I own like 3 maybe 4, it's sad if so. They are nice but no need for the primer in it..no way..I have crepey kids since I was in my mid 40's and I only can use maybe 3 types that cause no "crepe" yuk..can't stand that with age :/ but happy there are a zilion to sample out on teh market now!
