IT Cosmetics TSV - Really?

There was so much hype and secrecy about the TSV on FB, QVC and IT Cosmetics website. They made it seem like it was something brand new, amazing and life changing for your face. To my disappointment, it's simply the CC Veil foundation that is already being sold on QVC. The new moisturizer and mascara should have been a world wide launch as the TSV. Both products are amazing! Just my take.

And please don't say again and again that this is Business 101. I studied that over half a century ago, and to me this is bad business. She's telling me on one venue that Bye Bye Foundation is the most amazing ever, and still trying to convince me that Celebration Foundation is best on another. Good business? Honest marketing? Not to this lady!!

This TSV is an easy pass for me, I don't see much value for such a small amount of foundation, already have gotten the lipstick and gloss in other bundles. No big deal here!

Really? There was hype about the IT TSV? What is there to hype about, there is one every few months. The only hype I've seen is from the people who get it for free on youtube or facebook. I get excited and hyped when I get a free car wash at the gas station. You can't trust the judgement of these people when they get it for free.

Yes, and it also available on her website, but one insistent poster keeps ignoring that fact and saying that she would never buy the informercial. Go figure.

And yes, it's Business 101 for a company to promote all their products. If they sell more than one foundation, they will tout them all at different times and in different places.

Lol! Not saying, that they should of not have a launch on new moisturizer and mascara, especially if these both products are amazing! I would love to try them on TSV!

But we do not have any videos from the upcoming TSV yet. The only promo video there is, it's from IT site, and now is also available on TSV product page. So it is "old" promo video from IT site, and maybe was designed to show this foundation as something "new", because it was new at the time they shot a promo.

I see this foundation is offered separately on Q, but it shows up as "New Arrivals". So this product kind-of new in this wet sponge compact packaging? I am not sure, but will see how they promote it on TSV presentations.

I am interested in this foundation because it is moisturizing, a serum-like liquid - in a compact with lots of "goodies" in it and SFP! I do not have a foundation with SFP, and this maybe something I am willing to try on TSV price.

Is anyone else grossed out by the air cushion foundation compacts and the bacteria they harbor after a few uses of the applicator puff on your face? The compacts are the perfect medium to grow mold - dark and wet and spongy. Blech.

I think every other make up line out there has more than one form of foundation. Especially one liquid/cream and one powder. I can't think of a single makeup brand that only has one foundation. I don't understand how that makes Jamie, specifically, dishonest or a bad business woman...

I am an IT fan, and I too was looking forward to the TSV...until I saw what it was. I'll pass. I really like celebration foundation and I already have that coming on AD with another TSV. I was hoping this would be the new mascara and maybe some eyeshadows. oh well, I already have enough makeup!

I like Jamie, always watch her presentations but always had to send foundations back.

I have very dry skin and I can't wear anything powder as far as foundation goes.

I have a foundation just like this from Mally, love it but it is $45 just for the foundation with a flat brush which I don't care for.

I was very happy to see and hear Jamie and IT came out with this same type foundation now and with an extra refill no less which makes me happy.

I have always wanted to try an IT Brush so glad 2 come with this kit as well as a nice pink lipstick and blush.

I went on AD since future kits will be $10 less, $49 instead of $59 since no more brushes. I have and like the color of the lipstick, have it in the stain but this no blurring is newer so am sure I will like it as much as the one I have.

I will use her brush but if I don't care for it I will use my real techniques expert face brush which is what I used on my Mally which is gone now.

this type of foundation is great for use dry skinned ladies or those that want a nice soft look and not feel like you have a mask on which is what the IT CC felt like on me unfortunately.

I wasn't much impressed, either.

RIght now, I'm using up a former TSV--the one with the cushion compact and the CC cream in it and some power fnd. The cushion compact doesn't look refillable the way this new compact does, but I've tried sponge compacts before and I just don't like them.

I feel they can be contaminated by bacteria too easily and you can't see how much foundation is left. You do get a smooth application on the brush. Maybe that is the only advantage.

The rest of the kit is indeed "blah"--pink blush, pink lipstick (a nice shade, looks less garish on the model, thank goodness) and I already have that double ended brush and like it a lot (the small end works for concealer quite well.)

but I can't see women of color buying this. The foundation may be dark enough, but the blush and lipstick would be difficult on anyone who isn't fair skinned.

I just put a similar comment in a post before I read your post. Indeed, I find sponge cushion compacts dicey for bacterial contamination. I realize they probably put a bacteriostatic compound in the sponge latex but still. And is it latex? Some people hae a STRONG allergy to rubber compounds and would not be able to apply this to their skin. I'm allergic to latex but not as severely--has to be continued contact over some time, not immediate.

The lipstick and blush are such blue toned pinks. Helen looked so much better in other IT foundations and no one but the blonde model looks nice in those colors. They look bad on Leah and Helen and the woman filling in for Jamie. Older skin loses warmth and you need some warmth in your colors to offset that. These pink tones are cold as ice. I too am uncomfortable with the sponge. It seems like you can't use all of it or see what's left. Very happy with the CC cream. This TSV looks so blah. So disappointed!

I love It cosmetics but this is not for me. I have the two brushes and the Je ne se quois lipstick doesn't work for me. Money saved!

I think it's a very nice kit. Granted, I wish the new bye-bye foundation was in this tsv, but I'm not surprised it isn't. QVC never lets the vendors (rarely I should say) put the brand new "main" product in the TSV. They want us to buy it full priced first and then months later, it's in a TSV.

They will put new products in a TSV, just not the foundations from what I've seen.

I still think this is a nice TSV. I love the brushes, and the lipstick doesn't look like that older-model Je Ne Sais Q. I'm over that one. This blurred lines looks soft and pretty.

I also love the blush.

I don't think there's going to be an issue with bacteria. Heck, most face creams and neck creams are offered in jars, and one is putting hands into those daily--those are far more likely to be bacteria feeding grounds.

I'm getting this in light.

There wasn't much hype about this. We all knew what was in this a week ago so why the post today? I don't get it. It wasn't a surprise. I knew what was offered in it last week so it certainly wasn't a surprise.

We can give up on Jamie swatching colors and putting the new foundations in the TSV. It's annoying, but it is what it is.

I'm glad the Celebration Foundation isn't in this TSV. I like it, but I have 2, and my compacts keep breaking. Plus, it can be cakey.

If you're that easily discouraged by a spectrum of opinions, I feel sad about that. You'll never get 100 pct of people agreeing on something like this TSV in any situation. Diversity is what we have.
