If Wen is discontinued due to the current lawsuit, what are we going to use now!

I have been happy with Wen for one year, but have friends who say they are losing hair and going off Wen. I am worried. It almost looks like he is prepping the company to become a body and perfume line. Any thoughts, and what would you use for color treated fine hair if there was no Wen?? Frantic to find another great shampoo or cc.

I agree, I don't think Wen is going away - every big company has lawsuits.

The stuff I've read on the lawsuit doesn't even phase me. I don't think they have a chance in heck of proving their claim.

I'm not worried. If you are that concerned,remember litigation can take a long time. Years even. In the years to come there may be new as yet un-thought of products to choose from. DON'T be frantic today over something that may not happen. ENJOY your WEN and be happy with it. As my Grandma used to say... Don't borrow trouble.

WEN is a great product like many other products some products just don't agree with others.

Like face creams, some people ADORE one type where another breaks out in boils from it.

Everything reacts differently on people.

i dont think wen is going anywhere. they MAY have to put more warnings on their labels and my guess is that they will settle out of court via mediation.....which is probably why the judge sent it there in the first place.

I would not worry.

Chaz is making some very wise business decisions. He is assuring that he is not 'inventory heavy' by stopping production of some less popular products (sorry FAS), introducing new products more slowly, and diversifying.

He is a savvy business man. As a business owner, and, herbologist I would love to discuss business and herbology with him. DREAM ON!

To win (WEN) a lawsuit you would have to prove intent, ignorance and malice / Also the people filing will need to prove they have not had illness, surgery or taken medication that has hair loss indication, some of these would include

stress (within the last 18 months)

depression (current or within the last 2 years)

high blood pressure

very low blood pressure

anemia

have, or are taking beta blockers, high blood pressure meds

hormone imbalance of any kind,

any auto immune disease especially lupus, RA

taking anti depressant, stimulants (for ADD and such)

thyroid issues

heart disease taking meds

been in an accident which caused fright, stress or panic

child birth, pregnancy

have had surgery with any kind of anesthesia

any chemical services done to the hair

and the list goes on. All of these and more can cause, or do cause hair loss. Hair loss from a stress event or being under pressure for a period of time, or surgery, can cause hair loss 6 weeks and longer after initial event.

A good legal team would go through all of this with the legal team of those suing WEN before any day in court. Just my humble opinion and nothing else.

I don't use WEN, but I think the worst thing that would happen if Chaz lost the lawsuit (and I'm not at all saying he will) is that he would just have to change a few of the ingredients.

But, if your friends want to try something different and if they have color treated hair, I would suggest Nick Chavez Color Saver Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Nick Chavez Color Saver Paraben-Free Conditioner.

I don't think Wen is going any place. I doubt they can prove Wen is the cause of hair loss. It can be caused by a number of things like, stress, thyroid related, menopause, age, medications, alopecia etc.etc.etc.
