I received my Mally Celebrate eyeshadow - review

It's very pretty. The color on the back says "Spiked Champagne" even though the photo on the Q site looks very lavender.

It's definitely a beige/gold with lots and lots of sparkle.

It goes on very sheer and looks good alone, and tomorrow I will try it over eyeshadow colors. I'm sure that will look very pretty.

I was slightly bummed that it was beige instead of a purple hugh, but its very pretty.

The thing that hit me most was was a crazy bad value this is. I'd been jonesing for the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary palette, and I finally ordered it for $55. I felt a little guilty, til my husband talked me out of that (feeling guilty) and that we need to splurge on ourselves sometimes.

But I got this yesterday, and realized the difference in values I'd just bought. The UD palette was $55 for 15 full sized eyeshadows. (and free s/h from Sephora) This Mally shadow was $25 for ONE eyeshadow. Plus almost $6.00 s/h for the tiny little bag that arrived.

I feel stupid. I'll have to be more careful in the future and not so impulsive.

I'm sure I could have found a much cheaper dupe at my Ulta store.

Oh, well! I could return it, but the return s/h is $6.95, plus I'd lose the $5+ for the first s/h.

I'll keep it, and enjoy it, but I think I've learned a lesson about impulse-buying from QVC!
