The new JM Argan Oil Color Stick Library 9-pc Collection???

I've never used one of these. I have read several reviews that mention that they are dry and have a very bad odor. Others, of course, love them.

I'd love to hear opinions from those of you who have. I would probably use them as a blush and not a lip product.

I'll be honest, I didn't like these. The color payoff was fine, but the wear time was not. And I have dry skin, but these ended up looking kind of greasy on me. Much better cream/gel blushes out there, IMO, including her cheek gelee (which, if I remember correctly, you have!) HTH!

I had a couple of the smaller size of those. I did find them dry. It was hard to apply on my face IMO. I had no problem using it on lips just not a blush.

I use them all the time and I do not use anything else.I have many of them, some many yrs old.I have NEVER had a problem with any of them There has been absolutely no odor or dryness in any of mine EVER !

I'm torn on these. The colors are always beautiful, but there are some issues.

The are dry and firm. If you've ever used a Tarte cheek stain, they are softer and creamy. You can easily swipe them on a cheek, lip, or run a finger over one to pick up color. The JM sticks are inconsistent in how firm they are, but where the Tarte stains feel creamy, these feel more waxy. You can run a finger over some of them and pick up no color unless you apply pressure or leave your finger on it to warm it up some. They also seem to get harder and dryer over time, especially if they're not being used.

They do have a very distinct smell. It's almost medicinal or antiseptic smelling and reminds me of Tea Tree oil or camphor, but not quote and neither of those ingredients are on the list, so I don't know what it is. I can smell it in the stick, but once I apply it the smell doesn't linger.

They are very drying for a lip product, but do work well on cheeks. Not enough for me to purchase on their own

It's too bad, because I do love the colors. The coconut water blushes are better, as are the Tarte cheek stains or NARS Multiples color sticks.

I don't like them. Too much work for too little payoff and I agree they're drying.

I use Josie's Infinity Lip & Cheek Oil. I love them. Great payoff and they leave a nice scent on the lips. The gelees are good too but IMO the Lip & Cheek Oil has the best color payoff and lasts longest.

One of the collections I purchased had to be sent back. The color stick was a great color but a very heavy rancid smell... Don't know what kind of shelf life these products have but never found anything that had such a bad odor.... I only use them on my lips and so far everything I have gotten has been good.

I bought a set of ten a while ago and ended up throwing all of them away. They had this rancid smell(not medicinal either), wouldn't even swipe on your skin, and turned sticky! I have so much makeup so I didn't reach for them often. I don't see how anyone could get their money's worth without them going bad. HTH

I'm sorry to say that I've tried almost all of Josie's beauty products and haven't had success with any of them. Nothing lasted on me. I love Josie, she's a cook chick and I want to use her natural products, but they just don't work for me. I use her unscented body butter on my legs after shaving, though, and I love that. I also use the argan oil when I have a particularly dry patch of skin somewhere. I'm also totally interested in her new honey drip balm, I'll try that eventually for sure.

Thanks so much to all of you. You all confirmed my suspicions about the product, and I will not be purchasing. I guess, though, if someone does like them, this would be a great set.

BTW, the ingedients include rosemary leaf oil, lemon tea tree, and of all things, menthol. I'm thinking one or more of these may be the odor culprit.

I would not be happy if I could smell menthol on my face. As a matter of fact, I avoid menthol in skin care because of its potential to be an irritant, as is rosemary oil

I have never smelled this product, though, and I guess now I probably won't.

I did not like the way they felt on my lips for some reason. Maybe you could try it out at Sephora before you bought one. I did really like them on my cheeks, but won't repurchase. There's some other brands that have similar products, not sure of the ingredients though. Good luck

It's weird, I'm very very sensitive to smell and I've had three color sticks and none of them had a bad smell. I didn't like them for reasons I discuss in my post upthread but they did not have a bad smell.
