WHATS Going on With Philosophy????

Good Day, I was wondering what happened to philosophys AG fragrance and the change with the scent lasting as it did years ago. Also This time of year They Bring out (or used to) Wonderful sets Of THE GINGERBREADMAN. all I can find is the body wash . Since I have been with them for years, When Christina Carlito, THE FOUNDER ran the show. it seems to me alot has changed??? Where did the Founder Chriistina Go????

Christina sold the business to Coty in 2010.

@deedeewar She sold her company ...(can you imagine how much for?!) WOW..I cannot! it would be nice to see her now and then however like Leslie does here and there on QVC representing some new BE items even though she sold out as well for more I am sure.

I think it's so important (if allowed) to stop by and say hello and join a vendor or something to keep in touch with your fan base that made you wealthy ...many liked her my 2 cents.

The difference is that when Leslie sold BE to Shiseido, she was asked to stay on with the company. She chose to change her title from CEO to Executive Chairman, taking some time off and focusing on the creative end of the company. At the time Coty bought Philosophy in 2010, Christina did not own the company (the Carlyle Group bought philosophy in 2007) although she had a contract to represent the company on the Q, which ended after Coty bought the company.

I really enjoyed the product (BC, before Coty).... and loved the Falling In Love perfume. Last year around this time I purchased a set that included the perfume, body butter and a shower gel. The perfume didn't last even to the car in the morning (my husband could not detect the scent).... the body butter was good until I hit about 1/3 of the product, then the scent started to fade. At half the jar the scent was totally gone. Not kidding! I tried putting the lid on tight and leaving it for a few days to see if the scent would be stronger... no, it was gone. No one in my family smelled anything from the jar. It was like using Crisco. The only product that seemed to be like it used to was the shower gel.

I haven't (and won't) buy any more of the product....

I recently decided to try a Philosophy shower gel and had fun selecting the scent. Nothing that smells of food, no! I got Good Morning Sunshine which has a citrusy scent. I was very disappointed in it. For $16 or something like that, it had little scent and even the suds factor they try to say is so fabulous wasn't there. I will be happy to return to my Oil of Olay when this is gone and not buy Philosophy again.

I think in the next 5 years the brand will be gone. Or sold in drug stores and discount houses. The quality has left, and 3 in 1's are not what I bought when I first purchased 16 years ago.

I don't like how they are leaning more towards their customers buying a set of shower gels to try one scent they may be interested in. Of course other companies do it, no one is forced to buy it, and I do like Philosophy. I just don't like that practice.

I recently bought Pure Grace, I love the fragrance but it does not last. A lot of money for the fragrance to disappear very quickly.

Thanks for removing!!! I love QVC!! I love the ppl, I love the products, I love everything about it. I'm new to QVC, so I have only bought 10+ different items. (make up,dishes,etc)

But I think all the fun they have on set is wonderful. So, to listen to ppl bash the ppl & say ugly things is just plain hateful. There's enough hate in this world, I don't want to see it on here too!!! Thanks for removing!!!

@shoekittyI agree!

but love the Miracle foundation ..it's so inexpensive and as good as my uber high end one that was over 76.00. I think in years to come yes it may be that way with it's scents maybe not the skincare as people seem to like it.

After being on philosophy autodelivery for"makeup optional" kit for several years, it was abruptly canceled without recommendation for replacement. Just what is going on with all the new skin products? Are they fazing out? I'm very confused as to what products do what. It was much better when there were just the basics for specific targets. Now there are multiples choices. I'm thing of going over to "Paula's Choice".

The greater question to be asked is, "What's going on with QVC?" I have been a member of this shopping network longer than I can remember. I have seen many products come and go because, and I quote, "The quality was no longer up to QVC's standards." So why, when so many faithful QVC shoppers ask this question over and over and over again, does QVC not demand Philosophy provide the quality product to which we have all grown accustomed or drop them as a supplier? I am certain if QVC put Coty's feet to the flame they would buckle to the pressure and return to the original formulas. QVC holds the powerful sword so...QVC, why not wield it on behalf of your faithful customers?

@Acf11...if you're looking for a new skin care line, possibly check out Peter Rhomas Roth. I'm a former Philosophy skin care junkie but after 9 years I just didn't think it was still the "miracle" it was in the beginning. I saw immediate improvements with PTR's products and QVC has a try me kit with 5 essential products. I'm not trying to sway you from Paula's Choice line, but as a former Philosophy girl I thought I'd share my experience with you. I do still use a few Philosophy bath and body products, so I'm still a fan!

@SurferWife I too have been a Phil user for a long time. I won't give up the bath/body products because I still adore them but I gave up on the skincare. Just wasn't seeing any great results. I've been bouncing around for the last year or so. Mostly been using Paula's Choice. I just ordered the PTR kit on the Q. Can't wait to get it!
