California girls, or visitors.has .anyone gone to Anastasia's

in LA (BH) ,to have their eyebrow done? I am thinking of making an appt, for when I go to see GD down south! My 68 years old eyebrows are a mess. I quit having them waxed and just tweeze them now and again. They were butchered one time, and never grew back right. Then they are coming in dark and like wire, filled with little bald spots, . Sigh.

I was wondering if anyone had actually gone, and had a great experience. I only get positive feedback, but just from yelp and the news.

I've been to Anastasia in Santa Clara, and talked over the phone with their location in Palo Alto. I think all of their people are very good. I was happy, but haven't had the opportunity to go back.

When I lived in LA I went to Damone Roberts in BH to have my eyebrows done. I typically went to Chrisitine there. Not sure if she's still there but they were all very good!

I say talk some women you know who have amazing brows and ask them where they go. That's how I found the lady who does mine.

An eyebrow shaping at Anastasia is $50, because it's Anastasia and it's Beverly Hills. I live in Austin, but I had my brows threaded by a fantastic lady for $15. She threaded, shaped, and trimmed them exactly the way I wanted (not too thin!) and I couldn't have been happier. When you go to Anastasia, you are paying for the brand, not a service or quality of work. If you want to splurge on that, go for it. But you can find someone really good for a lot less.

Thanks. Just talked to my GD. She had her eyebrows done at Anastasias in BH today. Her agent also recommended Anastasias. She has a premier this Sunday and wanted to have them done, so I sent her in to be "shot first", lol! I paid for her, so she was happy to go. She usually goes to a great place in Burbank. . She said never n her life have they looked this good. She has difficult eyebrows, because they are thick and wiry, and curly. The appointment was 35 mins of time. They measure the space between nose and somewhere else, and get a number to make eyebrows even, and a certain distance on each side of the nose. They go by the shape of the face and forehead as well. They used a couple colors to paint them in with the wiz pencil. She gave her many pointers. Granddaughter said it was well worth it. I think I will give it a try when I am up there. Most places as good as I thought were, in the end, over waxed, over tweezed. Most places go by look and sort of one eyebrow fits all. They clean in between, underneath and on top. Also, most places over trim brow, which leads to thick, wiry brows. JMHO. It has been my experience. anyway.

It never helps me to ask women who have beautiful eyebrows where they go, because as soon as I go ....they have an accident, LOL!

The Bay Area locations are in the Nordstrom stores in Palo Alto and Santa Clara.
