topic Which deep conditioner--Aussie or Neutrogena? in Beauty

I've been trying to decide which of these to use as a deep conditioner--Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist or Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask. I already use coconut oil, so I probable don't even need to bother with anything else. Just thought that sometimes I might want to alternate the coconut oil with something else. Would love to hear opinions from users of either of these products about how they work. Also, am wondering if anyone uses the Aussie one as their regular conditioner when they wash their hair and not just as a deep conditioner. Thanks!

I have very curly hair that is on the dry side and I've used both of these products.

I used to really like the Aussie product but I belive that company was sold several years ago. The last time I tried it I felt that it did not soften or conditioner my hair as well as it once did.

I have the Triple Moisture product in my shower and use it periodically when my hair starts feeling rough. I will also use it in place of shampoo peridically - like a co-wash (conditioner wash).

I am actually planning on trying coconut oil on my hair to see what effect it has.

I'd be interested to hear how you make use of it. In the shower? Do you melt it first or use it from solid?

I've used and love each one, so that's not helpful LOL.

And do use them once a week.

But even when using my regular conditioner, I still add some deep conditioner to the ends (the oldest & driest part of one's hair), then wait a few minutes before rinsing.

So there's a reason for you to buy both. ;-)

when I had curly hair, I used both at the same time. I used the Assie as a leave in conditioner and the Neutrogena as a weekly treatment.

If you over condition your hair it will be weighed down. The oil is sufficient. I like to use argan, maracuja or marula oil. Depending on your hair texture being thick or whatever, use a conditioner like Rosemary Mint by aveda a couple times a week it does not weigh your hair down. Neutorgena has excellent products too.

I hate to be a "debbie downer' , but I'd not use either. They are full of silicones. I'd use coconut oil or restore mask by living proof.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Couldn't make up my mind, so decided to get both and just experiment with them to see which I like best.

Winamac--I know a lot of people don't like to use products with silicones, but I don't really have an issue with that. I guess because my hair has always been plagued with frizzies and, in the winter particularly, with static electricity. For me, the silicones are a big help. Maybe if I can get my hair in better shape by giving it good moisturizing treatments, I won't need to depend on silicones to smooth it down.

Sandraskate--I haven't actually been using the coconut oil very long, so haven't really had time yet to see any benefits. From what I've read, though, I believe it will really help. I just wanted to also get some other good conditioners to alternate with. As to how I use it, don't have a shower, so I just warm it up in the microwave (have to since I keep it in the fridge) and apply it with my fingers to my hair and comb through. Then put a conditioning cap on (or you can use a shower cap or just wrap some plastic wrap around your hair). I leave it on for a couple of hours and then wash out. Some people sleep with the oil on, but I twist and turn too much at night. Any cap I'd put on to protect my pillow would probably come right off.
