Best application method for Balance N Brighten?

Hello, for those who use this foundation successfully - what is your application method?

I was looking for a foundation that's easy to transport and came upon this product with so many 5 star reviews. I cannot get any coverage and I have used my IT foundation brush.

I am wondering if my product is old and dried out since 'nothing' seems to dispense...???

I just swirled my brush over it and buffed it onto my skin. I never used a special technique. I used it for sheer coverage and never tried to build it up.

It your IT foundation brush is the flat top one...that's what I use for Balance & Brighten, with great success!

Try lightly scraping the top of the B & B with your fingernail...it might have just hardened, due to exposure to dampness or something. Then try swirling your brush over it, and applying. B & B isn't really a full-coverage foundation to me---I wear it over a CC cream or regular foundation for more coverage.

Also, do you use a primer? I find primer to be a "must" for any powder foundation to cling to my skin.

Thank you for your replies. I will use with primer and also scrape lightly over the top to loosen the powder and report back. Thanks for taking the time.

If you have hard pan on the top from brush transfer of oils or moisturizer, etc. try putting tape on the compact. It pulls the oily, hard part off the compact. I've used this with success with scotch tape, masking tape, and packing tape. It really works and it doesn't gouge the surface.
