In search of a replacement for Mally volumizing mascara?

I've not used any Mally products so I do not know how much volume her mascara adds to lashes.

I use Lancome Hypnose Drama or Doll Lashes and this gives my lashes volume.

I would say try out a tube or if you purchase any Lancome products see if the salesclerk can give you a travel sample of the Hypnose Drama.

I used Mally volumizing, among other brands. I recently switched exclusively to Lancome mascaras and I have to say, the investment is worth it. With Lancome, you do get what you pay for.

Mally's is ALL I used for years. Then I got Tarte Lash/camera Lashes. I put on one coat, let it dry, then another...let it dry then another, SO MUCH better than Mally's and NEVER have racoon eyes, I love this stuff!

Here's another vote for Lancôme hypnose mascara. I think it's the best on the market. If budget is an issue, I'd recommend loreal mascaras. I tried one of their "manga" mascaras that I really liked.

I have used Lancome Defencils for years & without question the BEST mascara period ever made...imo. This brand may not work for you but this mascara has been a tried 'n true product that has never let me down. It is a bit pricey but I have never had a problem paying for high quality products that take care of me!

I finally broke down and ordered Lengthening mascaPaula's Choice FANtastic Lash Lengthening mascara. I only received it a few days ago, but so far I really like it. It really does not clump,which has been my per peeve.

I didn't know which of her three selections to purchase, so I decided to try this one first.

Has anyone tried her other mascaras?

Lash Doubling Mascara by Clinique. I received a sample and it is very, very nice. another one is Not Just Mascara by Estee Lauder. I actually like glossy mascara by Clinique but next time I want to purchase this doubling mascara. For drug store brand my favorite is Lash Discovery by Maybelline because the brush is so narrow & small that you get every lash with no clumping.

I tried her Mega Length mascara and it didn't do anything for me. But I just got the FANtastic mascara a few days ago and just tried it today. Very easy to apply, no clumping and gives good length. So far, so good!

I vote for Lancome mascaras also...in fact, HSN has promotions now and then where you get 3 Lancome mascaras (Hypnose, Doll, and Defenicils) for $50. They are full sized and you can try the different effects. It is a good price and they last a long time. For drug store mascaras, L'Oreal is good and it is made by Lancome (or vice versa. Can't remember!)

I did try Tartes sex camera lashes closest to Mally I have found but the brush hurt my lash line if it touched. Also Dior show hated it. Along with some Bobby Brown ones. I used Lancôme for years I may look for that special with the 3 and try them again. It's been years! Definitions was my go to mascara back in the 80's. Then I would change to one of the new ones. I liked Mally cos it was one coat, curled and stayed, good for your lashes and fast to apply. I never had clumping, and it always gave me just enough drama without looking like spiders. Thank you for all the recommendations.

Another Lancôme recommendation. The best mascara around. Definicils and Hypose are my favorites. I am not aware of a Loreal dupe for any of Lancomes mascaras.

Have used Almay mascaras for many years. Recently discovered Ready To Wear Every Last Lash on HSN. Start with IT Cosmetics Tightline. Then apply the Ready to Wear. Gives me the effect I want from Mascara. Really does catch every last lash without clumping. At 65, it is a perfect choice for me.

thanks for posting the link!!! I had no idea that loreal owned all of those product lines! I always knew about the Lancôme - loreal link but wow.....they own so many I didn't know about. Very interesting.

I don't wear eye makeup everyday, but when I do I use Smashbox lash primer then Perricone No Mascasra Mascara. I have very hooded eyes and oily skin. I also liked Tarte mascaras before I discovered Perricone. After all of the comments mentioning Lancôme, I have to try it!

I purchased Bobbi Brown mascara after all the poor reviews and company $ troubles. I have been really pleased with Bobbi Brown mascara and gel liner. I noticed that it lasts and lasts and my lashes don't feel or look crunchy. It holds up well with all of my allergy issues, too.
