If a lip product is stinging your lips, it is because you are allergic to it. Many woman are allergic to or very sensitive to the cinnamon oil or essential mints that are used mainly in lip plumping products. Those type of products give most women a light tingling sensation which is normal. But, if your lips are stinging, don't use the product. I asked a pharmacist in Walgreens if he knew of a product to stop my lips from stinging. He asked me when I noticed the stinging, I told him I had it after applying lipstick or gloss. I got a couple of lipsticks and a gloss I had used off of the shelf and brought them to him. He read the ingredients and identified my problem right away.

I just applied one of my favorite "tingling" lip balms, Too Faced Lip Injection. It is stinging more than normal. Does anyone have a product to apply first to Insulate lips? And another thing, why don't these products carry labels that they might sting?

I expect any "plumping" products to sting. If they don't, I'm pleasantly surprised. Have you tried adding a regular lip balm prior to the TF? I would think it might be a barrier of sorts to potential plumping properties. I also find that if my lips are dry of chapped, the stinging is intensified. HTH!
