Emjoi Micro Mani

Why in the world did QVC have to combine this with the Micro Pedi? So many people already have the pedi and would like the mani but aren't going to buy another pedi. I already have two...don't need another. They undoubtedly lost a lot of sales today. I'll wait until I can get one on Amazon.

I guess it is. This might be a new record for me - 8:15pm and I just found out what the TS is.

It is not a very smart more on QVC's part. the mani product alone would have been better. But I wonder how safe it is. Sounds like it might be hard of fingernails. I'd be doing a lot of research & reading up on reviews before trying.

Did you see the demo? She went zip, zip, zip and she was done...so much faster. She said it took about 30 seconds per hand.

I have a couple of pedicure units already (Emjoi and Ped Egg). I get it that they have packaged the items separately so that those of us who already have the foot tool can opt to pass the pedi tool on as a gift. I thought about ordering and doing that, but decided to just wait until Emjoi (or one of their competitors such as Ped Egg) offers the mani tool as a solo item elsewhere.

How is this on the nails, I wonder? Does it cause nails to become thinner each time? I know nails get thin during the acrylic nail procedure, so it makes me wonder. When I saw the presentation, I didn't hear this addressed.

I agree. They lost a sale with me. I purchased the pedi at least two years ago, (love it) and I would have loved the mani tool.

I have no desire to purchase and gift one at Christmas as so many of the hosts have been so kind to suggest that we do throughout the day.

I actually searched for it on Amazon and I could not find it. Let me refine my search.

I found it this time. Not a good buy. $40.00 dollars with one color. Two of the roller pads or whatever the call them.

I stand by it being a better TSV, if QVC would have offered it as a stand alone product.

Add me to the list of another lost Emjoi TSV sale! I don't want to spend twice as much to get the mani option.

I have had the pedi tool for three years and just need the (coarse) refills. It would have made more sense to offer the mani kit + a set of 6 or 8 pedi roller refills without the pedi tool.

I hope you can follow this line of thought.

I do use the emjoi pedi thing. The newer one (smaller than original) and use corse refills. I got mine with free shipping on Amazon as well.

I do have to say this. Although I use it, as do my 3 daughters we all agree on one thing. It makes the dead skin g thicken faster. I have to do my feet more than I ever did, my daughter said the same thing. I actually have to use it every 3 days to keep up. I used to go to salon every 2 weeks and that was good. Also, the heel gets harder. I think in some people it can encourgae callus growth, as a way to protect the skin.

When I use the callus scraper thing, I do less upkeep. But it is harder for me to go back and forth with the callus thing, I have arthritis.

I buff my nails with buffing cream and a chamios buffer. It looks as good as TV but doesn't last two weeks. I don't use the abrasive block that shines. If I got the mani I wouldn't use the one for ridges very often. That's where the damage comes. I can't wear polish; it makes my nails peel off. Literally! It sucks them dry.

Not a good buy if you are comparing to the TSV, otherwise it is comparable to HSN's price for the same item. I would go for the TSV, but I already have a Pedi I don't even use. I keep my feet soft using creams so I really don't need it. Maybe the fact that I wear socks and shoes most of the time helps too.

I get so mad when QVC does this. They give you the hard sell and get you to buy. But then they reward the people who DIDN'T buy by giving them a better deal later. I bought the Chi styling iron a few years ago. Now they offer a combo pack with a travel iron for only a few bucks more than I paid for my 1 iron. Mine still works great, and I'm not going to order another one just to get the combo. I'll wait for mine to die. But it irritates me everytime i see them present the set. I thought exactly the same thing about this Emjoi set.

I totally agree. I only wanted the one for the fingernails. They lost a sale with me and I'm sure a lot of others also.

I already have the one for the feet. Bought it years ago.

Sometimes I wonder where the brains are on QVC!!!

I have a manual manicure set that will create the same shine on the nails and it is recommended for use no more than twice a month. Overuse can thin the nails. If a manual application can do this, I would be even more afraid of overuse with the micro mani. I will stick with the manual as I feel I can have more control. I do love the Emjoi Pedi and feel that it does a great job on my heels.

I would suggest an exfoliating cream. Philosophy Soul Owner is the one I use, but I'm thinking Kerasal is probably one. I haven't looked at the ingredients, but the Sal in the name indicates salicylic acid to me which is what is in Soul Owner. You can get Kerasal in the drug/grocery store.
