I bought one a few weeks ago and have tried it a dozen times. Can't put my finger on it, but don't like it. As previous poster mentioned, it feels odd on my skin. I don't feel it cleanses well and it feels kind of mushy. A wash cloth would be more effective, I think.

Good you like yours.

I gave my Clarisonic Mia away and am sorry I spent so much $$$ and not seeing results! Moved on to the Konjac cleansing sponge (at $12 each bought one for each daughter) from 100% Pure Cosmetics. I can even use it on my eyes (WOW!) Suggested to replace every 3 months. LOVE!

Description from their website (but also available on amazon).

With a recent surge of facial cleansing tools, we wanted to offer a natural option. The konjac sponge is rich in vitamins and extremely gentle on the skin. These squishy sponges can be used as a daily, gentle exfoliation without irritating the skin. We’ve added charcoal bamboo, which acts like a magnet pulling impurities, dirt and makeup from the skin, making it more effective than our bare hands. It is also naturally alkaline which neutralizes pH, leaving your skin perfectly balanced.

Sounds interesing, but aren't sponges supposed to harbor LOTS of bacteria? I saw a special on 20/20 once about all bacteria, mold, germs, etc., that sponges harbor.

I've never used a Clarasonic, nor do I plan to ever use one. A friend of mine got really bad broken capillaries from using one.

The sponge does sound nice, but I would like to hear opinions regarding the bacteria it could harbor (even if rinsed out).

I've had a Clarisonic, a Foreo Luna Mini, and several Konjac sponges. I don't think the Konjac sponges compare at all to the Clarisonic. They don't deep clean the same way and didn't make the same difference in my skin as the Clarisonic or the Luna did.

I like to use a Konjac sponge in my shower and the electric devices by the sink when I take my makeup or sunscreen off at the end of the day. The Konjac sponges are gentle and feel nice. The thicker they are, the longer they take to dry and the first one I had molded in 4-6 weeks, not the 3 months they said. I hung it to dry across the room from the shower after each use and it was so thick that it just never completely dried. The thinner one I bought at Whole Foods dried much faster, even if I left it in the shower, and easily lasted 3 months without getting moldy. It was also about $10 cheaper than the fat, moldy Boscia sponge I bought from Sephora.

I put the Konjac in the microwave as described for 1-1.5 minutes. I read about that on a site about Konjac sponges and knew it worked on my kitchen sponges, so I gave it a shot.

I've used my Clarisonic for three years and love it, never have gotten any broken capillaries, use the Gentle brush option. When I travel, I leave my Clarisonic at home and bring a Gentle Buf Puf that provides comparable cleansing. Been using them for years. They are polyester and never, ever mold, plus they dry quickly. On Amazon, six for $22.13 or something like that, I change out when they flatten out depending on usage.

I have and love my salux cloth but do not use it on my face, but love it for the body. I think the konjac sponge is much more gentle, not the somewhat "scrathcy" feel of the salux.

I agree that the konjac sponge is gentle, however, I've tried several different brands and found they didn't remove makeup or clean out my pores at all. It was just like rubbing a squishy gel puff over my face. I also find that I break out after using them, not sure why. Glad you like yours, however.

I would love to try Totcha cleanser someday. I bought and just received the Konjac sponge, funny you should bring it up. I also have the Clarisonic. Not sure how I feel, but I like that I can use it on my Eyes, seems I can't use the clarisonic or a special facial cloth because it hurts my eyes, but the Sponge doesn't. So I just may keep it.
