I had the base color done a little darker than usual and the highlights are a beautiful contrast. Unfortunately, because I have a lot of gray that grows so fast, I need to do the base color every 2-3 weeks (I do it myself between salon appointments). I try to have a salon appointment every two months for the base color and would also like to have fresh highlights done at the same time but wonder if this is too often to also have highlighting done, i.e. is this too much processing for your hair? I normally wait every 3-4 months with highlighting.
