topic White heads in Beauty

I have noticed that since I have regularly been using a make up primer I have been getting more whiteheads. I use the BE Prime Time and cleanse with the philoshophy line. I use a scrub once a week and do not use any primer or make up one day of the week on the weekend to give my face a rest so to speak. I am in my early 40's and do not know what to try to be rid of the pesky white bumps and stop them from coming back. I do not have oily skin and don't suffer from spots or acne. Any advice greatly appreciated.
