It TSV Light vs Medium

I watched the midnight It show and now I am confused about color choice. I am light/medium which Jaime says should go for Medium. I wear Light in their powder foundation and Light in their CC Veil Compact foundation. Does the Original CC run lighter than their other foundations. I prefer a SLIGHTLY yellow toned foundation and look really bad in peach toned. Maybe the fact that this is an illuminating foundation makes it run lighter??? I am darker than Jackie (who wears Light) and lighter than Jaime (who wears Medium). I was all set to order the Light. Now I don't know, Light, Medium? Any advise? Any users of the original?

I think the light. I use the medium beige in the celebration foundation, and I use the light cc cream.

I am a light/medium also. I use the original CC in light. It is perfect for me. I had a sample of medium, I thought it looked a little dark on me. (a little bit peachy) The light looks much better.

Definitely the light, it has the slight yellow tone you want. I use both colors and medium is muddier on me. Get the light now and you can always bronze it up and switch to medium in the next delivery if you want for summer. It is always safer to go with the lighter option.

Not many have gotten the new one so it's hard to say if it's lighter than the original CC. The regular light is definitely peachy. The medium has a more olive-orange tone. I also have trouble with getting a good match because of this . The fair is really good undertone wise on me, but it's just too light. So, I think you might prefer medium but it will probably be a bit dark.

Definitely the medium. I ordered this originally in the light and I looked like a ghost it was so light. Even the medium isn't a true medium, but the medium worked way better for me then the light. I think you'll be disappointed if you order light.

Go to ulta or buy both and blend the two together. many women do that. It is still a great deal if you use her product line.

Funny Desi, I don't find the light peachy at all, more yellow toned. I found the medium was more orange/peachy. It probably has to do with our skin tones. That is why it is so difficult to select shades!

I am a light to medium leaning more toward the lighter side BUT after watching and seeing the one blond model who had on medium I opted for the medium this time even though I got light in the last IT TSV that had the super size CC foundation in it.

I think I will like this one a lot better being it will give me more of a dewy/illuminating look which I prefer.

I looked at the colors on line and the medium didn't look too dark, not dark at all, almost like a light/medium. I think with summer coming the medium will be fine and if it is too dark since I went on AD I will get light the next time but am hoping the medium will be okay.

I also use the original CC in Light. The sample of the medium was too dark. I use Fair and/or Regular in Laura's Balance and Brighten. I ordered TSV in Light.

Here I go posting again. I cannot wear golden anything. I don't know what shade to get. I am very fair, silver hair, green eyes and need a very neutral tone.

If you are very fair, as in "the fairest of fair", then go with the Fair shade. It's one of the lightest shades offered across QVC's cosmetic lines and (to me anyway), a true neutral shade, with no yellow or pink undertones. It's perfect for me in the dead of winter, but I now need their Light shade (which has more of a yellow undertone). The good news is that none of their products oxidize on my skin, so the color stays true.

Not sure if this will help but I was lucky enough to have my makeup done by an IT Cos. makeup artist. My skin is fair with pink tones and I had been using the Medium in the regular CC cream. The artist said that I should be in the Light and maybe even Fair. However the Medium was fine on me as well - my point is that I think the difference between Med. and Light is probably minimal - if you are darker than Jackie, I'd go with the Medium. Pretty sure that would be fine - the colors are pretty forgiving IMHO!

I agree the colors are pretty forgiving. I'm also more fair toned w/ pink undertones but in the winter I wear light mostly. I can wear medium fine and not look orange or fake-y tan but in the summer when I do have more color I definitely use medium which I actually have and keep on hand in the jumbo size. It's also pretty forgiving. A mix of light/medium is actually most perfect but I'm too lazy to do that daily - haha. I've swatched fair on myself at ulta and it's definitely too light for me.

I have the light in the regular cc cream but decided to order it in medium this time. I am normally light but this one seems to have a gray cast to it, that's why I decided to try the medium. I went to Ulta today to swatch them to see if I made the right decision and I think I did. The difference between the two is minimal, the medium just seemed to be a little bit warmer. If I need to, I'll buy the fair and mix them

I bought Medium and Light. My normal perfect match is Bare Minerals Fairly Medium (light to medium shade, cool undertone). My experience with the cosmetics lines like It who don't have 20 shades in their repertoire is they tend to run more neutral/yellow than my skin tone. I'm using self tanner now because I'm sick of winter and cold weather/ pale, dry skin. The Medium is kind of deep even with self tanner, so I tried the Light yesterday and it's much better. Jamie also had an It Cosmetics FB posting about using bronzer when your tan is fading to bridge the gap into the lighter foundation shade. I love that this bronzer included is matte since the CC cream is illuminating. I also felt that the illumination in the lighter color wasn't so intense.

I love the ease of the CC cream. One pump, no brush to bother with for application and I'm good.
